Escape with your special someone to this beautiful retreat that was once part of Temple Newsam House â a grand Tudor-Jacobean country estate that boasts grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. Sleeping two people in one bedroom, this is a perfect accommodation option for couples in search of a quaint yet stylish cottage to call home while they discover the beauty of West Yorkshire together. Spend a joyful day exploring the vibrant city of Leeds (4 miles), which offers a fabulous selection of historic attractions like the Royal Armouries and Kirkstall Abbey to discover, as well as plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy. Nearby is also The Springs (2 miles) a vibrant retail and leisure destination which includes a cinema, bowling and plenty of retail therapy with free parking.
From your courtyard parking spot, walk through the tall wooden sliding gate into the lit entrance tunnel and climb the steep external staircase to reach your stylish farmhouse-style home. Step inside and kick off shoes in the entrance lobby, which has large storage drawers for boots and bags. This leads to a smart open-plan living/kitchen/dining area. Find your spot on the plush sofa and take a moment to admire the characterful exposed beams and preserved original features. When itâs time to eat there is a modern kitchen area, providing a lovely space to whip up dinner. At the end of the day, retreat to the beautifully styled bedroom in the former dovecote, which offers a king-size bed and views over the pretty farmhouse orchard and ancient monument. Completing the layout is a smart bathroom overlooking Temple Newsam Rose Garden.
There is also direct entry from the main farmyard entrance into the Temple Newsam Estate via a bridlepath and footpath.
