Welcome to the Bavarian Gasthaus, Suite D - offering a single queen studio unit that is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Leavenworth.

This cottage-style 4-plex offers excellent value and is the perfect accommodation for visitors who want a simple, convenient place to stay without all the fuss. Located in a converted historic home, it even comes with free parking downtown, so you can explore without battling or paying for a parking spot!

Each hotel-style suite is like a cozy little nest, equipped with all the basics: a microwave for your late-night popcorn cravings, a standard 12-cup coffee maker to fuel your mornings, cable TV to binge-watch your favorite shows, an iron and ironing board for pretending you’ll actually iron something, a hairdryer to blow away bad hair days, and a mini-fridge to keep your snacks and drinks chilled.

As it's an old historic home, you might hear some noise from the neighbors—consider it part of the authentic charm! The room smelled like cigarettes and had many floor stains. My asthma was triggered and my body was lethargic from the combination of mold and strong cigarette smoke. The porch was so dark - light wasn’t working. I stumbled at the steps, but also felt nervous in the dark. I don’t know the area well enough to be comfortable. I contacted the website’s listed phone number for replacement but no response until close to noon the next day.The odors were intolerable so I opened the window, but there was no safety latch/bar to prevent any break-ins. I needed the extra mini heater since it was freezing. On this first night while asleep, the power went out around 2am so the heat shut off. It was very cold. The lamps stopped working. I got moved to a new room late the next day. The coffee maker was still dirty. The second room didn’t smell like cigarettes but it did have a moldy odor. I lost a a day waiting for the new room, where the key code didn’t work. I waited in the cold rain and missed dinner reservations.The next afternoon, I was locked out of my new room in the cold and dark again. I didn’t hear a response so I called again. I was given access to a physical key. The rep said they’d come the next morning to fix the keypad. That didn’t happen. Instead I got a message about checkout process. I was not able to enjoy my time because of all the waiting and moving rooms, and being locked out. It started on day one and had issues everyday.

We were prepared for an older building, but not the smell. While the company reports using non scented cleaners, they had such strong smelling air fresheners. I removed them from the room, but we had to leave the window open and the fan on our entire stay. The first two days we kept the front door open as much as possible. The first night we both had headaches and sore throats from breathing the fumes. We called the management company as soon as we arrived and they offered no help and said the cancelation policy was firm. We ended our stay a day early because we were so uncomfortable due to the perfume airfreshners and once that wore off the musty, probably moldy smell that it was covering up. If you have asthma or sensitivity to smells I would not recommend staying here.

The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a good stay. There were a couple things that could have been better. There is a corner of a rug that needs to be tacked down somehow or it creates a trip hazard. Otherwise we were fine with all the room and location for walking to town was perfect.

So conveniently located within downtown Leavenworth but also ideal that it's tucked in one corner away from the crowds. The room is clean, and the sheets were so soft and smooth! I have a neck issue though, so I wish they had a lower pillow. The floor creaks and the walls are thin, but it didn't ruin the stay in any way at all. It really doesn't take so much to not be such a disturbance to neighboring guests, be it at this guesthouse or any other hotel.Very responsive, and the check-in and check-out processes are incredibly fast and easy.

We just love this location. It’s really close to town, easy walk. One of our favorite wineries (Silvara) is just 2 miles away. The room was clean, well furnished and the bed was comfortable. It is a bit smaller than the pictures show but we would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Property is only two blocks from downtown Leavenworth very walkable. We walked everywhere we went during our stay. The bed is old and concave to the middle but I feel for the price it is a good value.

We couldn't be happier with this place! It was just the right size, it's in a great location and was the perfect, cozy headquarters for our stay in Leavenworth. We're already talking about a return trip and will most definitely be staying here again.

Great place

Best thing about this place is that is super close to down town. It’s only a few minute walk to everything. Check in and check out process was super easy. Only down side was that you can hear everything in the other suites and parking for Suite D was a little tricky with driving a bigger truck. Overall, it was a good place and I would stay there again.

This location was perfect- walking distance to the town! Parking was easy and the check in and out was super easy! My only complaint was the mattress was cheap/old and it KILLED my back- I almost slept on the ground. But the shower was amazing and the space was perfect otherwise :) would definitely stay there again with a new mattress!!

The best thing is the property is right in town so you can walk all over town and Includes a parking space. Grocery store is nearby. Cottage has everything you need, small fridge, microwave, coffee pot, AC, shower and towels. When we first walked in it was a little musty smelling. Probably from the carpet during the winter. I would suggest vinyl flooring as it’s a much easier upkeep and more durable. Bed mattress was ok. Pillows are thin so bring your own. I would rent this cottage again because of the location.
