This cabin in Southern Scotland is perfect for a couple who wants to treat themselves and their dogs to a special holiday. The property is positioned within the grounds of a working farm, where the owners themselves have seven dogs, so you know your pooch is going to be well looked after. You’ll be well-situated to explore the beautiful countryside and historic towns of Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders, meaning that whatever you chose to do in your leisure time, it’s sure to be relaxing. There are many walks in the area, or you can stay close to home and meet the resident sheep and alpacas. Visit the historic market town of Biggar (5.5 miles) for local shops, cafes, and other eateries or if you fancy going further afield, why not head to Edinburgh which is 30 miles away for a treasure trove of shops, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions?
Entering this cabin, you will find that the open-plan lounge/kitchen is the hub of the home. It’s a great place for settling down after energetic days or morning chats about what plans you have for the rest of your stay. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you will need to create a hearty breakfast or take a seat at the dining table and enjoy a romantic meal for two. Once dinner is done, hunker down in front of the Smart TV or grab a book and finish a chapter with the views of the open fields as your companion. From this area, a door leads to a spacious king-size bedroom which, in turn, leads to a wet room. This property has been designed with dogs in mind and even has special cushioned, non-slip floors installed.
Outside, you have a choice of spaces. You can wander the shared grassy area which overlooks the unfenced pond or hire the indoor BBQ area to have a special romantic dinner. Alternatively, you have your own enclosed garden with artificial turf and a private hot tub overlooking the open fields and woodlands. There is also an off-lead exercise field for dogs.
