Not always — the lake will be closed summer 2025 due to Hurricane Helene. From November through March, the lake may be drawn down with little or no water. Water gear is stored during those months.

➤ Any quirks to know?

Yes — bedrooms are close together and door gaps may let in sound. Bring a sound machine if you're a light sleeper.



➤ Any safety notes?

The property has several staircases and steep areas. The dock and stairs may have weather-worn boards. Security cameras are in place outside.

Guest Access:

Guests have full use of the home, screened porch, outdoor spaces, dock, and fire pit. Please note the terrain has stairs and slopes that may be difficult for guests with limited mobility.

Located in a serene and rural area, The Bay Escape offers a tranquil setting while still being conveniently close to local attractions. Enjoy the privacy of Tryon Bay and explore the natural beauty of Lake Lure and its surroundings.



Getting Around:

A car helps, but you can still walk to The Lake House and Ingles Market in under 10-15 minutes.



Other Things to Note:

The porch is a group favorite—ideal for board games, storm watching, and dinner under the fan. Just check seasonal lake conditions when planning your trip.
