1 star because my stay was non existent. I booked through Expedia a month in advance. About a week before checking in, i had to cancel 1 of our 3 nights. This change was made before the cut off date that if was passed there was a penalty.
I called the hotel to verify my booking change and mid conversation the hotels phone went dead. Their phone is still dead nearly 2 weeks later.
When i went to check in, the hotel said that Expedia had overbooked the rooms. One of the ladies said there was a cancelation that i could have, but there were 2 groups of us staying there and my guess was if my reservation was overbooked then our second groups was too. Sure enough.
I let our other group stay in the only room left in the hotel and my group went to stay somewhere else.
My trip, staying somewhere else is over now, but checking my card on file that i booked the overbooked room with has been charged.
I've been told to contact Expedia but they say to contact the hotel, who's phone number is still not working.
I've stayed here a ton of times for the past 3 years and have not had any problems except for keys getting demagnified. Which is not a big deal.
Getting charged a no show fee for trying to check in to an overbooked room, however, is a big deal. Not to mention the pain in the a.. of having to find somewhere else to stay on a Labor Day weekend.
I'll update my review once (if) i get refunded.
