Baumhaus: Family & Dog Friendly Home with Game Area and Fenced Backyard

A family inspired space in the mountains decorated in a mid-century modern style. This custom prow home is perfect for families with kids of all ages. Offering 3 bedrooms, bunkbed in the game room, large dining space, and a loft. The great room offers an area to cozy up by the fireplace or sit on the deck & enjoy a peek-a-boo view of lovely Lake Arrowhead. Close to hiking trails & only 10 minutes from Lake Arrowhead Village.

Hot chocolate or wine with welcoming family spaces make for a wonderful stay. Summer in Lake Arrowhead is an alpine escape from the heat, where it it typically 10-15 degrees cooler in the mountains than it is in the flatlands. Make s'mores and sip wine on the deck while your dogs play in the fenced-in backyard. Winter in Lake Arrowhead is nothing short of magical. Crisp air, cuddly nights, and perhaps some lovely snow. You'll feel a world away!

We want this house to be as family friendly as possible, and have tried to incorporate all of the things we have missed at vacation rentals we have stayed at. That also means none of the annoying "do all the laundry and clean all the bathrooms plus pay a cleaning fee" stuff - just take the trash out if it's full. The 11AM checkout should allow for a more relaxed morning with less rushing around, giving you plenty of time for that second cup of coffee.

The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and has three floors. The entryway and mud room, living room, kitchen and the master bedroom are on the main floor.

The top floor has an open space loft, TV, and two bedrooms using a Jack-and-Jill bathroom.

The bottom floor offers an expansive game room with a twin bunk bed and bathroom; amenities include ping pong, shuffleboard, Nintendo 64 with Goldeneye & Mario Kart (among others), poker/dining table, wall mounted Pac-Man, and lots of toys, books, and games for kids of all ages.

Parking is in a private driveway right in front of the front door, with only two steps up from the exterior into the mud room. There is space for three cars comfortably, four cars if you use the overflow parking space.

The backyard has a mild slope that is fully fenced, but we would not recommend leaving a dog unsupervised, Arrowhead does get those forest critters. The side and front yard are terraced and generally used for overflow parking. We also have a basketball hoop in the street for all to enjoy.
