The self-catering holiday rental Casa Mar Azul is a modern and tastefully decorated 2 bedroom/2 bathroom ground floor apartment on a quiet dead-end street perched on the hilltop overlooking the picturesque town of Carvoeiro with stunning views of the ocean. The beach as well as town centre with all the shops, restaurants and bars can be easily reached within 5 minute walking distance.



The master bedroom offers a queen size bed and ensuite as well as a built-in closet (with a safe inside), a separate desk and chair. The second bedroom features 2 twin beds and a built-in closet as well. There is a second full bathroom complete with jetted bathtub/shower combination, bidet and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linens will be provided as well as a mid-week cleaning service.

The fully equipped open concept kitchen features a breakfast bar and views of the ocean. The amenities include a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffeemaker, citrus juicer, Espresso machine, French press, fridge/freezer, cooktop and oven. An ironing board, iron and clotherack are also available. Should you require highchairs or babycots please let us know and these can be provided for you.

There is also a large dining table and chairs and a comfortable living room with a flat screen satellite TV. Cards, board games and books are added for your entertainment as well as free WIFI.

The living room features sliding doors opening to the huge communal sun-terrace with sun loungers and swimming pool with separate childrens pool, from where you can enjoy breathtaking seaviews. An outdoor dining and lounge set as well as two private lounge chairs with sun umbrellas and beach towelsl are provided for you on the patio.

Two convient parking spots are allocated specifically for the apartment in the secure underground parkade. An air conditioning/heating system is also installed as well as electric shutters in front of all double glased windows.

There is a strict non-smoking policy and pets are also not allowed!

Carvoeiro was once a small fishing village. It is now a popular tourist destination due to the beautiful beaches and stunning coastline line. There are many restaurants but the town has held on to the charm of its earlier years so is perfect for families and couples.

Well equipped property

We enjoyed our stay especially because the property was so well equipped. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals for example. It was evident that the property management company takes care to provide whatever guests may need or appreciate.

Enjoyed a lovely holiday in carvoeiro. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing, contact with Elite was trouble free and the entry instructions were clear and simple to follow. Die Agentur ist eine Frechheit

Echt schade, denn die Wohnung ist eigentlich in Ordnung und die Lage ist super. Aber die Agentur ist eine absolute Frechheit. Ich hatte um eine weitere Decke gebeten, da ich mit meinen Kindern reiste und ich gerne eine eigene gehabt hĂ€tte, statt sie mir mit meiner Tochter zu teilen. Das wurde mir nicht nur verwehrt, sondern auch noch frech kommentiert: „man könnte da wohl auch zu zweit drunter schlafen, sie wĂ€re schliesslich gross genug.“ Mag ja sein, aber Service orientiert ist das definitiv nicht und ich habe vier NĂ€chte echt schlecht geschlafen. So viel zum erholen. Ich fand es unmöglich.

The apartment was situated next to the pool which made it easy to supervise the kids while sunbathingâ˜ș Easy, practical and clean apartment. The only thing was a smell from one of the toilets but did not bother us much. Great air con and area too🌾

The property overall was very well presented and had all the appliances we needed. Good outdoor space. Showers were excellent. We had a few issues , the garage remote did not work so no secure parking. The information quoted two different codes for the key safe. We were advised not to put paper down the toilet but insufficient bins provided for waste. The tv was not tuned to any channels other than BBC. Had to resort to Utube for other programmes. Would certainly use again if Elite rentals rectify the issues outlined.

Exactly As Described

Good communication from Kate at elite Rentals, easy check in and apartment immaculate on arrival. Delighted to find it exactly as described. Very clean pool area and direct access from apt to pool. Lovely selection of pool furniture on terrace. Beach towels provided which helps your luggage allowance. There is a safe and metal shutters so very secure. Lovely central location. The walk to the main restaurant area is down a steep hill or up steps so may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. Would definitely visit again.

Wonderful apartment

Stayed here as a family of four. Absolutely lovely apartment. Very clean and tidy upon arrival and beautifully decorated. The only thing missing from this apartment was a safe. Wonderful to have a dishwasher and washing machine. Outdoor area was great too with direct access to the swimming pool which was a tad cold on a morning but warmed up a treat by the afternoon. Only 5 minute walk to the town, however, the walk back up the hill afterwards in the heat often made it feel like longer especially if you had lots of bags from beach or shopping. Could do with a closer shop on this side of the hill. Very secure and communications with Elite Rentals very good. Would recommend and stay here again myself.

FĂŒr uns hat alles gepasst: Guter Kontakt zur Agentur, super Wegbeschreibung, einfache SchlĂŒsselĂŒbergabe. Die Wohnung ist sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet, besonders der Pool sowie der Blick aufs Meer haben uns begeistert. 2 nette Buchten und das Zentrum von Carvoeiro sind fußlĂ€ufig zu erreichen - alles in Allem ein toller Aufenhalt. Lovely stay

Booked a quiet week in the sun where the kids could choose to be by the pool or inside. Poolside open apartment was perfect for us. Shutters meant we all slept brilliantly. Complex is largely privately owned so mix of residents, those staying for long periods with others let out. In May pool was quiet and everyone we met was friendly. Would imagine in peak season however the pool area could get over busy. Having said that, the appt has its own seating. Good location and would book again.

Very nice apartment in a great location

Nicely furnished two bedroom, 2 bathroom, apartment, on a single floor. Patio slider opens to pool area, which is convenient. Some noises can be heard from upstairs apartments, but wasn't much of an issue for us. The bathroom off of the master bedroom is small, and the shower is especially tight. Warning: the hot water side of the shower fixture gets very hot and given the tight confines of the shower, it is easy to bump against. The pool is better than the pictures show, and the water was especially clean with minimal chlorine. Great views off the pool deck as well. We also liked using the Wii game console in the evenings. Wi-fi quality was very good. Beach was just a few minutes walk down the hill. Underground parking is nice to have if you arrive by car as parking nearby can be tough. Unfortunately, the remote for the garage door didn't work when we arrived so we had to park on the street our first night. We received a working remote the next day. Directions to find the unit are unclear unless you are coming up the stairs from the garage. The units are marked by letters above the main entrance, but some entrances are from the front (pool-side) and some are from the rear. It took us a while to figure this out, and that unit L has an entrance from the rear. If you come up from the garage it's obvious since unit L is right at the top of the stairs, but that was not the case for us since the remote didn't work when we arrived. The policy for trash disposal is odd, in our opinion. You have to take out your trash, but instead of a trash dumpster for the complex, you have to go into town and find a trash bin and put it there. I've never experienced this at any vacation rental, but maybe it's the norm in Carvoeiro? All in all, we enjoyed this apartment and Carvoeiro very much. The town is beautiful and the surrounding sea cliffs are fantastic.

Smart, clean and well positioned

The apartment was ideal for the 2 of us, 4 may struggle, as the ensuite was so small I had to use the bathroom (and I'm only average). Heating was excellent, but pillows not so. Overall, happy with the apartment.

Perfect location and apt!

Perfect location for Carvoeiro and exploring Algarve! Apt was spotless and just perfect! Sonya, the Housekeeper was wonderful! Katherine, stayed on top of all our requests and needs! I hope this apt stays just as clean and as wonderful for many years to come! Truly a gem.

Modern, Spacious, Appartment with a great Pool Area and Close location to town

As a family of 4 we found this property ideal, plenty of room inside, very modern along with an open plan living area and kitchen area. Highlight though was the loverly terrace area with comfy seating, table with 4 chairs, great parasol and sun loungers with plenty of space to arrange in a way that suits you, the terrace had direct access to the quiet pool along with more plentiful sun loungers. Within a quiet small complex and only a few minutes walk into town and the great beach. Lots of very Good resteraunts within easy walking distance. We would certainly recomebd this property
