The house was great and in a lovely neighborhood! We enjoyed walking about 1 block to the beach and strolling amongst the houses of varying size and styles. Parking is hard and it seemed to be one of the few with a driveway, which was a real plus. We also walked to breakfast and there are other things in walking distance. There is construction on a large structure across the street but there seemed to be projects of all types going on in the area. It was only on the weekdays and didn't bother us much. Overall, an excellent experience and I would recommend!

Location is great. Home is as advertised - simple beach cottage with easy access to the beach and local amenities and a short drive into the village of La Jolla. We had rainy weather so it got a little cozy with six people but the house had everything we needed!

Just what we needed

I was hosting 2 guests —childhood friends from out of town. Location perfect as 1 block walk to Windansea Beach and also a coffee shop. We drove but could have walked to restaurant area on Pearl Street (El Pescador, Taco Stand, etc..)Facilities were clean, roomy enough as we only cooked one meal there. Plenty of towels and beach stuff. Kitchen well stocked . Nice eating area on outside patio by street (quiet street). Parking easy in front (1 car only). The place was ideal for our needs and wants . Would be tight bid spending a lot of time inside with a family —-but then no reason to do that in San Diego . Only downside was cost (750/nigh all inclusive) but this is high season. Also scalding (literally) hot water —-should be regulated at water heater especially if kids taking showers .

Kitchen faucet coming off the base. No dishwasher. Not super clean, needs more attention to detail. Matress not comfortable in room with bathroom. Location wonderful. I have stayed in other VRBO properties in La Jolla, I wouldn’t return to this one.

Thanksgiving 2024

The property is really filthy. The outdoor spaces are unusable unless we sweep up the leaves and rotting berries that fall from the trees. The couch is really disgusting and the floors were not cleaned. The cushions for the back deck are covered in dirt and can only be used if you place beach towels over them. Enjoyed the stay in 2023 but it has gone downhill

perfect beach house

we loved our stay at this house. the best thing was the short walk down to the beach! the property was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our family stay. there is a lot of food and restaurants in walking/short drive proximity as well. we hope to come back soon!

Wonderful Stay!☀

We loved our stay! Everything about this rental was perfect. Great communication, clean and stocked home, shops and dining within walking distance, and very close to the beach. It was quiet at night and all the beds were comfortable. We loved our trip and can’t wait to visit again!

Simple place; great location

Easy walk to the beach makes this place a great rental! Place isn’t very big, furnishings are basic, but it was clean and made for a fun long weekend getaway! Trash needs to be stored elsewhere outside because the flies were awful, but that was only problem we had while there.

Fantastic stay!

Had a wonderful stay in La Jolla! House was perfect for a stay with my daughter and pup. House is spotless, kitchen well equipped, super comfortable beds, and absolutely perfect location. Property managers are super communicative and immediately responsive to any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Good property in great location

This property worked great for us--2 adult couples, one teen. Great location. Easy walk to beach, restaurants/bars, coffee, etc. Beds and TV room furniture were comfortable. Fire table in back was a nice spot in the evenings. Grill and dining table on front patio worked well for us. Property management co was communicative, responsive to a couple of minor requests we had, and easy to work with. A few things to note about the property, that were fine with us, but might not work for others: - No indoor dining area. - Back patio area accessed through a bedroom. - En suite is smaller than seemed in pictures
