The location and basic layout of the house had potential, but unfortunately our stay was very disappointing. Upon arrival we found dirty dishes put away in the cupboards, a vase of dead flowers, and a dirty fabric shower curtain in the master bathroom that was stained red with what appeared to be mold or mildew.These issues immediately made us question the overall cleanliness of the property. There were also many maintenance concerns throughout the house. Both bottom bunk bed mattresses were directly on the floor, and the mattress in the room off the kitchen appeared to have staining on it, which is also visible in the listing photo. The bottom bunk mattress in the upstairs room did not have a mattress cover, which we feel should be standard, especially for a childâs bed. Several toilet seats were old and chipping, and many of the bathroom fixtures felt outdated and poorly maintained. One of the biggest safety concerns was in the first floor main bedroom. The threshold going into the bathroom was cracked and separated from the flooring, exposing mesh and jagged tile underneath. The occupants of that room had to wear sandals at all times to avoid accidentally cutting their feet. While the location was great, there were too many issues with the home for us to recommend it without significant repairs, improved maintenance, and better preparation for guests. There are many other beachfront options in this price range, and unfortunately this property did not meet our expectations.
