Situated at the end of private driveway this upmarket lodge offers expansive views of Lake Taupo. It is surrounded by large private gardens with abundant bird life and walking paths. Guests will have the 1 hectare property to themselves.
Spacious bedroom with amazing lake view and en-suite bathroom. Bedroom is fitted with a king size bed and small fridge.
Large open plan living area is equipped with air conditioning / heat pump and wood burner.
Fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and dishwasher.
Expansive outdoor area offers several places for relaxation and extends to a large private garden. Property offers multiple opportunities for relaxation: no TV or internet is provided. Yoga mats are available.
Guests are welcome to use new Hot Spring hot spa. In house private chef service is available.
Swimming beach in Pukawa is within walking distance or short drive.
Property manager lives in the nearby house and can provide information about the area. Cleaning and linen services are provided.

The views and grounds of this property are amazing. Everything from the interior to exterior features (hot tub) are set up for you to enjoy the view from where you are. The owner and property managers were very accomodating and made sure we had everythingn we needed for a great stay. Highly recommend this place as it is a great location on its own, but also if you are doing the tongariro alpine crossing or want to visit Taupo/anywhere else in the area.

The view from this property is spectacular and the gardens are full of wonderful trees and plants, which attract a great selection of local birds. Super well located for accessing Tongariro National Park for hiking and fishing on the Tongariro River. Lack of WIFI was difficult coming from overseas.

Sensational views, exceeding expectations. Photos don’t do it justice. This is the best ever Stayz home we have stayed in. Thank you. The only tiny downside was no top sheet and 2 single mattresses on a king frame.

Manager was so helpful, stay was peaceful, private and amazing views. Only real grizxle was the King bed that was made up of two single mattresses that you fell into the gsp. Did make for a good sleep.

Modern, warm, and clean with lovely kitchen, spa, and lakeview but house is a bit odd with no curtains anywhere including bedrooms which can be looked into from the lounge area, no wifi and a VERY firm bed. Fortunately it is secluded!

Fabulous view of Lake Taupo!

What a great destination - we loved the privacy and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub at night watching the stars. Great view of Lake Taupo, the city lights are on the other side of the lake, so we could easily see the Milky Way and other stars in the night sky.The property had a large kitchen, living room and bedroom. Everything was clean and well appointed. The property doesn’t have Wi-Fi but it did have excellent mobile service. We also enjoyed walking the grounds and met the neighbor, who is also the caretaker of the property and they were very nice.Great destination to rest and relax!

Beautiful view

Exceptional location and view. Spacious and open room and lounge living and kitchen. Bed is a bit hard and has separate mattresses but the view from it is awesome. That’s picking holes in what is a truly exceptional stay. Highly recommend and would love to return next time we’re in Taupo.

Lovely views, Quiet location. Apart from a minor glitch checking in, which the host responded to promptly, our stay was lovely. Place was spotlessly clean. Unit had everything we needed. Shower pressure was great. Bed wasnt a king as described but two twin mattress pushed together on a king frame.. Mattress was so firm it was uncomfortable.

Perfect setting but unfortunately not a good bed

This is an idyllic property set in an exclusive private grounds. Easily a 10/10 for the above. However, where it falls short is with the bed. Two king single mattresses pushed together do not make a super king bed. Plus the mattresses were very hard and the bedding was for the single beds. If only the owner would invest in a soft deluxe super king mattress and some high-quality bedding, to match the quality of the property. We ended up sleeping on the couch as it was slightly softer. A positive though was the spa pool.
