Our vacation condominium is located on the lush Kiahuna Plantation Resort Great Lawn, a short walk a from Kauai’s sunny Poipu Beach sands. This is a second floor corner unit located in Building 24. It’s a quiet, private, well-appointed vacation rental with spacious living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and covered lanai. Our Ocean View location is perfectly situated for morning vistas, day activities and evening sunsets on Kiahuna Beach. There are many activities on Kiahuna Plantation Resort and there are many natural attractions on the island of Kauai. It’s the perfect choice for guests looking a laid back Kauai residential vacation experience in a beautiful setting.

About Kiahuna 163

The property was fully renovated in 2024 reflecting the next generation of Kiahuna's vacation rental designs. The condominium has an open, bright and contemporary feeling while retaining the unique experience of a Kauai tropical home. All new furniture, all new flooring and tile, all new appliances, all new bathroom with walk in shower, all new mahogany doors & trim, all new cabinetry in kitchen and bathroom, and new dual AC units. The property is fully equipped with extensive tableware, appliances, microwave, convection / conventional oven and spacious refrigerator. Chefs will enjoy the spacious food preparation area of the remodeled kitchen space. Outdoor grilling is available at any of the 14 outdoor gas barbecues on the resort.

Kiahuna 163 is a corner unit designed to maximize the natural Kauai trade breeze with lanai sliding doors, abundant louvered windows and variable speed ceiling fans. For warmer days, tap on the dual AC located in the main room and the bedroom.

Loved this place! Condo was easily accessible. Entire community was beautiful and well kept. The Poipu clubhouse across the street was amazing. Loved being able to walk out to the beach from our condo. They also have a little hut that rents out beach chairs, surf boards, scuba gear, etc. LOVED the overall experience.

Host immediately responds to all communication.Appliances, equipment and everything about this unit is very top-end and in excellent condition. Location is perfect - on the Great Lawn with quick beach access, but not in the middle of all the beach-front hub-bub. View from the lanai is great. We have rented this unit many times and love everything about it!

The unit and the grounds are lovely. The unit was very clean when we arrived. The furnishings are new, quite nice, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, serveware, dinnerware, and glassware. The only appliance we missed was a coffee grinder. The view from the deck is nice and the beach is a short walk away. It's a narrow beach and it was pretty crowded while we were there. We appreciated the use of the beach chairs and cooler. The Poipu Beach Club pool is a short walk away in the opposite direction, across the road, and not near the beach. We did enjoy part of one day there and the food was good. Everyone we encountered from The Outrigger was friendly and helpful.

Yes (immaculate) and yes (very congenial host) and yes (Whaler’s & Cabana) and yes (fabulous view so we could check the surf for timing our snorkeling & swims as well as people-watch!). We had so much fun just playing house at Kiahuna 163 that we only shopped at Whalers (x3), Big Save (once) and Cabaña (first night dinner). Swimming and snorkeling every day and looking up the amazing variety of plant & bird-life was perfect for two eighty-year-olds! The woman at the Rent-A-Car place wanted to know why our mileage was so low. She found it hard to believe that we didn’t go any place! It was the vacation that we’ve been waiting for after 10 other visits to the Kiahuna – pure relaxing! We had already seen other parts of the island on our ten other visits! We met a wonderful group of guests and locals – including a very friendly kama’aina farmer woman snorkeler who “blessed” us with her avocados and bananas. I baked three chocolate banana cakes to share with her using your excellent array of kitchen equipment! Thanks for everything!

We loved this property! Beach was amazing and perfect for swimming and boarding. Beautiful grounds and unit - had such an inviting, island feel and enjoyed the layout and view on the lanai. Host was so communicative and responsive. Everyone was a pleasure during our stay. Also great location to walk across to shops if you need anything. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing!!!

This property was amazing! The condo was super clean and everything was in amazing shape. The bed was super comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The resort was amazing. The resort is Quiana well taken care of. You are steps from Kiahuna beach and Poipu is just a short walk. The snorkeling is amazing! This side of the island was great! There is lots to do close by but it is also only an hour drive to the north shore. We only had morning rain while we stayed in July.We will definitely book this place again.

Kauai Vacation

Condo is just as it appears on VRBO. Had some trouble with the deadbolt when we arrived. Contacted the managing company and received a quick response to correct the issue. Condo was clean and well stocked. We loved sitting on the patio to watch the sun go down at night. The grounds are gorgeous and the condo is in a great location, short drive to groceries. This condo gives you good access to all the beaches on the north shore of the island. My wife and I would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful condo on beautiful Poipu Beach

This second floor one-bedroom condo at Kiahuna Plantation has a beautiful view of the grassy lawn and the ocean from both the living room and the outdoor lanai. The condo is newly refurnished and in outstanding condition. The living room and the bedroom have separate thermostat-controlled air conditioners. The kitchen is fully stocked in terms of dishes and equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

It's an excellent place to stay. No place is perfect but this one comes very close. We had a couple minor issues when we first move in but I called Outriggers and they had someone there in a few minutes and took care of it. I would definitely try to get this unit again if I ever come back.

Thanksgiving stay

Our family of 4 (two kids under 12) stayed comfortably in this condo for 9 nights during the week of Thanksgiving. The upgrades are beautiful and the view from the lanai is the best part! Very close walk to the beach and restaurants. There were beach chairs, an umbrella and an air mattress in the condo. Would for sure stay here again!

Fantastic but can be noisy

Pros: location, amenities (remodeled unit), AC, gorgeous grounds/views, comfortable King size bed, nice living room. Cons: close to other units and neighbors can be noisy, wished there wasn’t carpet (felt like something was mildewed somewhere either in carpet, walls or AC unit), wished for fragrance free soaps throughout.

Lovely unit in perfect location

Title says it all. Wonderfully redone unit with very nice use of the space. (Perfect for two; we would have found it tight for more.) The location is terrific; very walkable to the Sheraton property nearby with great restaurant/bar area, and the shopping center across the street. Bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped with dishes, pots and pans etc. Parking easily available nearby. No facilities actually on the property (i.e. bell/baggage service, sundries shop, business center, fitness center) and not a great fit for working remotely, but was able to make it work for the few hours I had to do. But for a very enjoyable vacation this unit and its owners can't be beat.
