Post Flight-Prime Location

Post Flight: Aviation term meaning the day is done, travel has come to an end, and the clock has begun for rest and exploration. Our home “Post Flight” is in one of the best locations on the Outer Banks. We are centrally located to several restaurants, bars, and activities. Walk to the beach or sound; use our cruisers with plenty of sidewalks to keep you safe. We have a wheeled canoe for use on the property and a fun day on the water. We invite you to experience island living at the OBX with us!


The Space:
Your own space separate from the upstairs part of the home for maximum privacy. This space offers a brand new, comfortable queen bed that easily accomadates two. Personal thermostat for individual temperature control! Full bath with shower and tub and an outdoor shower for use. A few other things you may enjoy is a mini kitchen area with complementary Kurig coffee, bottled water, microwave, and a mini fridge. Also body wash, shampoo and conditioner are available. With this space you will enjoy the outdoor space with gated privacy fence to make yourself at home.

You may hear our daughters 8 and 10 well as our big fur baby from time to time from up above every once in a while. This is our full time home we love making memories in it. We have been hosting for quite some time so the girls do know and try to keep it down but be aware you might hear them.

Customer service is important to us and accommodating you during your stay is a top priority! Don’t hesitate to ask for directions or recommendations in the area. Post Flight is sure to be your best stay yet!!

Our hosts provided very easy directions to access the property, the personal touches like leaving a light on because we were getting in late and restaurant recommendations made the stay very comfortable and cozy. Anniversary trip

Before arrival the owner sent us the information to access the rental . Gaining access went very smoothly. Everything was decorated to go with the theme First Flight. Very plush towels. Even replenished the towels before being asked. More than ample supply of bathroom supplies. Prime video available for use on tv. Communication between us and the owners was very easy. They were wanting to make our stay very enjoyable. Easy to see why they keep getting five star reviews.

This property was very clean and had all the basic needs. The microwave and mini fridge were a nice edition. There were lots of things to use for the beach ot if you wanted to go on a bike ride. We enjoyed our stay.

Anniversary Relaxation

We had a wonderful time here. Able to go in and out and explore all the OBX. We especially enjoyed the beach cruisers and beach items that were available to us. Our hosts were very hospitable and respectful of our privacy. They even gave us a little gift for our anniversary and made sure that we had everything we needed. Very nice place in the OBX.

The hosts have misrepresented their property by displaying a photo of their “Entire House” but what we got was a tiny room in the back of their house. They have advertised the property accommodates 4 people but it barely fits 2. There is 1 queen bed and they put an air bed for our daughter which occupied one entire side of the room. The air bed even deflated at night due to which our daughter sunk in its center so we 3 had to sleep sideways uncomfortably to fit our queen/full bed. Upon mentioning this to the property owner they started pointing things incorrectly to terminate our stay. They said our parking was incorrect, and we didn’t use the correct door to go out and asked VRBO to cancel our contract. They left us stranded in the evening on the 2nd day with our child during our vacation which resulted is us spending an extra $800 to book random available hotels last minute. Brad (host) also threatened us by saying he was in the military and told VRBO agent only after issues started arising that they have a gun on their property which almost felt like a threat, whether it was intentional or not but it was not mentioned to us before. We would not recommend this place to anybody as the owners spoke very rudely in a threatening way. When we requested a refund for the nights they didn’t allow us to complete our stay on their property, they flatly refused to give our money back. Stay safe and stay away from such places and hosts.

Wonderful Stay

Robyn and Brad were excellent hosts. Robyn gave great tips on what to do locally. I had my two kids with me and all were a hit. The Lost Colony show, Prospect parking for free beach parking (we don't have free beach parking from where we are from), the restaurants. The room was very clean. It was an awesome stay and will definitely rebook for our next trip to OBX.

Wonderful place to get away and enjoy the Outer Banks

Host was on property and welcomed us and gave us some suggested eating locations, very friendly. The VRBO was just as advertised and quiet and peaceful, great place and will certainly come back again if I get a chance.

The room/ bathroom was large enough for our family of 3. It was beautifully decorated and one of the cleanest rental properties I’ve ever stayed at. The bed was comfortable. It was nice that there were plates/cups/silverware available to use. We used the canoe one of the mornings, and it was great to have that available for our use. The location was great.

Sweet little base in OBX

Such a great spot, and incredibly hospitable hosts. Love sitting out at night by the stock tank pool with wifie and a couple beers after putting our little ones to bed. Clise to everything. The host were great about sharing local recommendations. All in a wonderful time!

Great Stay

We visited for a couple days to see shows at the Tap Shack in Duck, and as lovers of the beach and OBX the location gave access to both. The private entrance and lock box for the key were also a nice touch. With the extra hot weather, the ample AC was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again, or recommend to a friend.
