A good stay

This was a good stay. I had to take a star away for the smell of the air conditioning and the level of insect activity. Both a/c units (the bedroom and the living room) had a urine odor that my google search indicates can come from a bacterial build-up when the units have drainage issues. The musty smell did abate when we left the doors open- but as we were supposed to close and lock the doors when we left or went to sleep, there wasn't really enough time to air out the smell. The bugs weren't a surprise, as the instructions clearly indicated that we should remove garbage every day and never leave food out on the counters- but the very first thing that happened was I opened the "house rules" book on the kitchen counter, and a tiny roach crawled out. There was definitely no food there yet. It did convince us to take the rules seriously, but was not exactly thrilling. Some good points: the furniture is comfortable! The bed was great, the couch was nice, the big chair was surprisingly comfy, and the dining table was a good size. The patio furniture was decent. I would have liked SOME kind of seating in the bedroom lanai, but the main lanai is private enough that I didn't miss it too much. The condo is located conveniently to both pools, and the grounds are lovely. Overall, I don't know that I would choose this unit again, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Great Location

Overall, great location! Walkable to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Came with chairs and towels for the beach. Lacking in basic conveniences like salt, pepper, sugar, coffee or creamer. I would have liked a beach bag cooler of some sort. The bedding and towels were clean and the air conditioning worked well. The unit is very dated and the carpets have a moldy smell that stayed our entire trip. After fees, I believe it still worked out to 400 a night, so we just expected a little more. The grounds and pool areas are beautifully groomed. The water was crystal clear.

Spent the month of February in this unit. It has new appliances with a great washer dryer and great AC. Otherwise it has low end furnishings, old furniture, and small TV’s from the last century. It has the feel of an investment property that no one ever lives in to care about it. It may be fine for a weeks stay but was disappointing for a month at the price paid. Management company was responsive to fixing a loose toilet, replacing light bulbs, and putting out roach traps. Unit has four Tommy Bahama beach chairs with broken zippers but no beach umbrella. Pro Tip – buy a Tommy Bahama Beach umbrella at Costco for your stay and sell it back to Auntie Snorkel for $20.

The property was nice. My condo d103 had a water leak so I got to listen to loud fans for a couple days. Washer about jumped off the wall when used. The other 5 families that went had several amenities including a cooler, body boards and umbrella for the beach. Mine did not! Find one with some character. This cbi vacations gives the bare minimum, I’d rather see the money go to families. ALSO, do not bring kids, they do not want any fun happening at the pools! No exceptions!

Clean, affordable, close to everything

Check-in was a breeze. The condo was clean and stocked. My husband and I are all of our meals on the Lania. The pool was a nice place to relax. We were able to walk to the beach and to restaurants. We parked next to the mall in Waliea just a few minutes away to get on the boardwalk in the wealthier Wailea.

This is an optimal location in Wailea, close to amenities and excellent beaches. The property managers were excellent and very responsive to questions and concerns. A very nice stay.

Great condo on Maui

My wife and I stayed here for a week and enjoyed it. The condo was very clean and they had turned on the AC before we arrived to cool the place down. The living room was much larger than expected and having the second bathroom was nice even for just the two of us. The location was great as we could walk out of the complex across the street to the Kihei boat ramp (lots of tours launch from there, including snorkel tours for Molokini Crater). Kamaole beach was also in walking distance which has pretty decent snorkeling as well and is a family friendly beach. There’s also plentybof shopping and eating close by. One of the main reasons we chose this place was the AC. I can’t sleep when it’s warm, and many places either don’t have AC or use window units that are loud. This condo has two mini splits - one in the master and one on the living room - that keep the place comfortable and are very quiet. The one downside is that the unit in the master does blow directly at the bed, so it took some adjusting of the settings and vent position so as not to freeze us every time the unit kicked on. The kitchen had sufficient dishes and cookware. Be sure to follow instructions about keeping food sealed up. We did see a few tiny ants when we first arrived, but kept everything either in the fridge or in tupperware (supplied) to keep bugs out. There wasn’t much in terms of spices or other cooking extras, so be prepared to supply your own. We did leave cooking spray for the next guests. Finally, the extra check-in instructions and dealing with the layers of property management was more than expected. It would be nice if they could streamline that and get all the info through VRBO. Be prepared to provide info a couple of extra times. Overall we liked the place and would go back if we want to stay on that side of the island again.

Just what I was looking for

Very clean, large, well stocked condo in a very good location. Lots of cooling options in the unit, good airflow. I would go back for my next trip!! On the downside, the TVs really didn't work based on the directions, but I wasn't there to watch TV so I didn't bother contacting anyone b It was the first time I have stayed in a VRBO not managed the actual owner. It made it less personal and more transactional. The Check-in process sent to me wasn't correct, the communications were fine, but just not like I'm used to .
