Blue Sky Escapes Vacation Home w/ big Oceanviews, Pool, Jacuzzi, 5min to beach

Come stay at my Blue Sky Escapes Maui Vacation home! Located in sunny south Maui the home is a beautiful, remodeled ocean view home with private pool swimming pool. This property is extremely private with no other rentals on property located in Maui Meadows a hillside development overlooking Wailea and the south Maui coastline. There are amazing views from almost all rooms in the house and the wrap around covered deck is perfect for indoor/outdoor style island living. Several beautiful white sand beaches are a short five minute drive away.

This home is one of five legal private home rentals in the desired island neighborhood of Maui Meadows. We passed all county regulations and now can share our lovely property with visitors to this special island we call home (Permit #STKM 2013/0004). There are no other buildings on our 1/2 acre land - the private use of our 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully renovated home and pool makes for a memorable vacation. We are a short drive to the beach, several restaurants and shopping.

The SUNNY SOUTH MAUI VACATION HOME is located in a residential neighborhood and guests must be aware and respectful of neighboring properties. Please be sure that ALL the members of your group are aware of the quiet hours. We want you to have a fantastic and relaxing time on Maui- we promise we won't impose many rules on you, but we respectfully ask that guests abide by the quiet hours.

We enjoyed this home. Closer to Wailea than Kihei but worked really well for our needs. We came in during some major February storms (chance you take visiting during winter), so we didn’t get to use the pool as much as we’d hoped but we did take advantage of the kitchen and sundecks when it cleared up. Lots of whale watching and we saw tons of activity from the deck. Definitely bring binoculars so you can appreciate all the beauty of the breaches! Upstairs shower has some fantastic water pressure. Seriously wanted to stay in the shower forever. I enjoyed the comfort of the upstairs converted twin to king bed more than the downstairs master (which has the better AC). Plenty of hangars, great laundry room, love the gas stove! Grill worked very well outside. Had pool noodles, coolers, beach towels etc. Walker, the groundskeeper, was super friendly and eager to help with the pool after the storm. Oh FYI, you can NOT receive mail here (ie amazon packages through USPS, sadly we found out the hard way and our package was sent back to mainland). So in other words, Be more prepared for your trip than us! Would def come back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved Blue Skies vacation home on Maui. Having a 3br home in S Maui with a large pool and a clear and unobstructed view was more than we could have wished for. The house was clean and offered the four of us plenty of space during our week stay. The master bedroom bedDownstairs was super comfortable. We mainly hung out on the deck taking in the spectacular view, otherwise we all were able to have own own space and own tv’s to watch whatever we wanted to at night. We had a great time in this house and would hesitate to recommend it.

Place was great, pool was amazing. Lots of amenities and it was so clean! We had a couple of issues while we were there and everything got addressed very very quickly. Only negative was the furniture and front of cabinets were a bit dated.. Love the pool table and ping-pong table, great area close to everything.

My family had a wonderful vacation at this centrally located home with a great view. While not directly on the beach, it is close enough and provides all the amenities you’d expect from a fully equipped vacation home. Kids loved the pool and hot tub, and my family won’t forget the gorgeous sunsets.

Stunning views

Our family of five adults just finished a 10 day Stay here. Looks just like the pictures. The view is amazing!!!! The house is a great size for families with plenty of room to spread out and have your own space with tons of outdoor seating and areas. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub every day and the beach is a pretty close drive. You can walk to the beach, however it is all downhill for a long way so unless you’re very fit, I wouldn’t recommend it, as you’d be going entirely uphill in the heat! Having said that we did quite a few walks through the neighborhood as it is absolutely beautiful, was a fantastic and memorable holiday in this house

It was great except for the front door.

The front door was almost impossible to unlock. WE had to have the owner come twice to try to fix it. He decided that we should leave it unlocked when we were away since the key wouldn't work. It caused a lot of stress.

Celebrating Milestones

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we were obsessed! The house is far enough away from all the excitement to feel very secluded and quiet. However, it’s close enough to run out and grab snack without it feeling like a big deal. I can’t express enough about the cleanliness. Everything was spotless. We had all the essentials, beach towels, pool toys, etc. We used the hot tub every night and it was always hot and clean. The teenagers shot pool daily which was a nice pastime. The house felt like home. The pictures don’t even do it justice. The view from all around the property was breathtaking. The beautiful colors of flowers and fruit from the trees in the backyard made us happy to walk around and the fragrance every morning was so pleasant. For some reason I smelled cinnamon outside when I would open the doors. I just can’t say enough about our stay. Do not hesitate to stay here. You will not regret it! The first night we couldn’t get the pool lights on and Steve had the pool guy come out the next day to replace. Wonderful host and house. Thank you for making our stay perfect!!

A wonderful retreat!

The most important thing: the photos do not do the ocean view justice. It’s better in person. We spent 3/5 evenings here watching the amazing sunset from the upper lanai. Spectacular! And the pool area and lanais were wonderful. This is a nice, large, deep pool. A small shallow area, for future travelers with kids, I’d keep a very close watch on them. We did not use the hot tub because it’s not our thing, but I’m certain anyone would enjoy it. We also enjoyed taking a pre-bedtime dip, as the pool has a light, and there are outdoor lights as well. The neighborhood is amazingly quiet. We barely heard a peep- except from the birds! Listening to the birds every morning and every dusk was truly magical! I recommend the Merlin Bird ID app to ID what kind of birds come from their sounds. The yard and pool area are so private and surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. The home was spacious and had everything needed. Beds are very soft, but to us, this was very comfortable! Lots of towels, sheets, pool and beach stuff was available for use. I was a little confused about the garbage system as well as how to put the lock box back on, but communication was great from the owners. The property is in a beautiful neighborhood, we always enjoyed driving through it from the main road. Renting a car is a must, but everything is pretty close. Nearest large grocery store is about 8 minutes away. Beaches are also very close by. A truly great stay, we’ll be back!

We were very excited to bring our grandkids to Maui. From the pictures, the house had everything we needed and more - lots of space, pool, hot tub and fantastic view. Sadly our first impression was not good. On opening the door the house smelled musty. This aroma did dissipate after the AC and fans were activated so it may just have been closed up for a couple of days. This was a lovely property but be aware that it is older and some things are wearing out. Some additional care could be taken with cleaning bedrooms, but all heavily used surfaces - kitchen, bathrooms, tables, wood floors, etc. were nice and clean. A little maintenance is due with appliances, outdoor furniture, and some of the beach gear could do with updating. Everything we needed was there, just a little worn. The lovely private pool was a huge hit with 9 and 10 year olds, and older folk, too. The location was perfect - Safeway, ABC store, restaurants, shopping and many beautiful beaches with decent parking were less than 10 minutes away, while being up on the hill to catch the breeze. And the outdoor shower to clean off beach sand after beach visits was a huge plus for us and for keeping the house sand free. Host was very responsive when we thought we'd run out of gas for the grill, and told us where to find the back up tank quickly. Most of all the space and view make this a great spot for a family vacation and we had a wonderful time.
