If you've never heard of or been to what locals have classified as "The Gem of the Florida Keys," Key Colony Beach in Marathon Florida is your PERFECT RETREAT! Marathon is an island in the "middle keys," about 2.5 hours south of Miami, and 1 hour north of Key West. Key Colony Beach aka KCB is a peninsula type island attached to Marathon.

This community has everything needed for your trip to the keys!! The reason we love Marathon and Key Colony Beach is it IS the most family friendly destination in the Keys, with SO MANY activities for the entire family! And it's near EVERYTHING you may need to help enjoy your trip such as pharmacies, grocery, restaurants, bars, etc.
We also love this location because you can walk to the Cabana Club (private members only pool and beach and hot tub--AND YES YOUR RESERVATION INCLUDES DAILY USE OF THE CABANA CLUB!) which has a bar/cafe you can eat/drink/swim and sun at while meeting all the regular annual visitors, which is right next door to Havana Jacks Oceanside Restaurant and Bar. You can swim and sun in the fun all day and take a 30 second walk over to this family friendly restaurant in the evening or for happy hour while watching your kids snorkel at Cabana Club Beach!

Located on the Atlantic Ocean side, this EAST facing 1/2 duplex home gives you bright morning sunrises and happy hour in the shade!-- more desirable!
If the Gulf of Mexico waters are more your thing, or you prefer the calmer waters on windy days, VACA Cut (the cut-through under US-1 from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf you can take your boat through) is a 7 minute boat ride away!

Is Fishing or Diving or Snorkeling your thing? You're minutes away by boat from the BEST fishing destination in the entire United States! 20 miles to the Marathon Humps for Mahi and Tuna Fishing, a few miles from the coral reef for unlimited fishing, lobstering, snorkeling, spearfishing, diving on one of the most unique underwater destinations in the world! There's a bait and fuel shop right outside of Vaca Cut to pick up fuel, food, ice, and gear for your fishing trip minutes from the house. You can rent fishing gear here as well.
There's a bait freezer on property in a small storage closet for guest use.

Rent a boat (reach out to owner for recommendations), go on a charter for fishing or diving or snorkeling right around the corner from the property. Reach out if you need help, guidance, or even fishing spots! Most places in Marathon offer a "Hook and Cook" or "Catch and Cook" option when you bring your catch of the day to the table... YES YOU CAN DOCK UP TO A 30' BOAT ON OUR DOCK. Most boat rental businesses will literally drop it off at the dock when you arrive, and pick it up when you leave-- easy peasy!
WE HAVE 2 BIKES FOR OUR GUESTS TO USE!

You can keep one trailer on the property as well during your stay if you bring your own boat!

Don't forget to check out Aquarium Adventures for a day of fun on dry land which is locally owned, the Sea Turtle Hospital down the street, or swimming with dolphins just a short drive up the keys! Don't forget to hit Robbie's in Islamorada to feed to tarpon!!! So much fun with the kids, and adult fun available to quench your beach thirst on a hot day!

This 1000 sq ft 2 Bedroom 2 Bath home is located on a 30’ boat dock on a canal with direct Atlantic Ocean access!!! You can fish RIGHT OFF THE DOCK and catch dinner, or watch the manatee surface in the evening hours with your cocktail in hand!

There's a fish cleaning table right at the dock for clean your catch of the day! Bring your boat, or reach out to owner for recommendations on where to rent for the best deals!

The home is literally located a 2 minute walk to the Cabana Club, Key Colony Beach's premier private beach and pool club where you can take in the sunshine with a bartender supplied drink in your hands while your kids play in the sand, or cool off in the HUGE saltwater pool!
This location is also perfect for 2 couples, offering nightlife an Uber ride away. Dozens of fantastic oceanfront restaurants and eateries within minutes from Key Colony Beach.

There's a running path throughout the neighborhood, or take one of the bikes provided for our guests to explore the wonderful Key Colony Beach neighborhood.

You're minutes away from easily accessible grocery stores, pharmacies, bait shops, pizza places, restaurants (4 on the island of key colony beach alone), gas stations, liquor stores, Ice machines, etc. Please reach out to owner to have your groceries and supplies provided in advance prior to arrival!
Souvenier shops nearby, shopping, fishing gear, baits, boats everything you need!

The home offers:
One king size bed, two double beds and a sleeper couch in the living area. You have to walk thru the second bedroom from the master to get to living area. The home allows for 4 guests per stay per Key Colony Beach rules.
Marathon only allows one boat trailer on each property. There is a public trailer parking on the island for extra trailers.

Also on Key Colony Beach- golf course [par 3]; play ground; horse shoe and Bocci ball courts. There is a dive shop and a bait shop down the street from the home within walking or bike riding distance. You can rent snorkel gear, kayaks, fishing gear, boats, dive gear, and paddle boards within a few minutes from the house.
Key Colony Beach has a public park and beach called Sunset Park on the ocean where there are concerts Sunday evening.
