Tucked away in a lush, tropical oasis, this one-bedroom villa sits on 300sqm of private land—a rare find in central Bali. Wrapped in palms and flowering greenery, it offers total privacy and stillness, yet it’s just five minutes by cab to the vibrant energy of Jalan Oberoi and Jalan Petitenget—home to some of Bali’s best restaurants, bars, and boutiques.
This is Secret Garden—a romantic sanctuary built around nature, not over it. At its heart, a beautiful 5-metre private plunge pool shimmers beneath the trees, surrounded by a generous garden space that makes this villa truly one-of-a-kind. Take a morning swim in total solitude, cool off in the heat of the day, or float under the stars after dinner. The only sounds you’ll hear are birds at dawn and rustling leaves at night.
The property
Designed in a bright, A-frame style, the villa is filled with light. French windows open on most sides, blurring the line between indoors and out. The space is filled with objects we’ve gathered over years of travel—some from Bali, others from far beyond—creating a home that feels personal and lived-in, not curated for Instagram.
The sitting room invites you to slow right down: a large, art-deco print sofa and armchair offer the perfect spot to read, nap, or watch a film. High ceilings and soft electric fans keep things cool and breezy all day long.
Just off the living space, an open-plan kitchen and breakfast bar offer everything you need for a quiet meal in. We provide coffee, tea, distilled drinking water, and a selection of pots, pans, and utensils so you can cook as simply or as much as you like. There’s also a well-stocked Western-style supermarket just 10 minutes away by bike, should you want to pick up groceries or snacks.
A small guest toilet sits at the end of the hallway, and just beyond is the bedroom—a calm, intimate space anchored by a queen-size four-poster teak bed, draped in soft mosquito netting and surrounded by garden views. A walk-in wardrobe offers space to settle in properly, while French doors open into a private pebbled courtyard.
The en-suite bathroom is semi open-air, letting in plenty of natural light while still offering complete privacy. The warm shower is blissful, though during Bali’s dry season, water pressure may occasionally drop—a small reminder that even here, nature runs the show.
Whether you’re celebrating something, escaping everything, or just in need of reconnection, Secret Garden is the kind of place where time slows down—and you remember how to breathe again.

Your stay at Secret Garden is thoughtfully supported by the wonderful team at The Bali Agent, who are known for their quiet professionalism and warm hospitality. They’ll be there to welcome you on arrival and ensure everything runs smoothly, without ever intruding on your time or space.
You’ll be looked after by Dolla, your dedicated guest relations host, who’ll assist with check-in and remain on hand throughout your stay—whether it’s arranging a massage, suggesting a sunset spot, or simply checking that you have everything you need.
The villa itself is lovingly cared for by Nurul, our trusted housekeeper, who comes Monday to Saturday to keep the space spotless, serene, and beautifully presented. A gardener and pool technician also visit regularly to keep the garden lush and the plunge pool crystal clear.
Getting Here
We can arrange a private airport transfer directly to the villa for IDR 300,000 (around USD 18)—about the same as a local taxi or ride-share. We recommend this, especially if you're arriving after dark, as the villa is tucked down a quiet laneway that can be easy to miss. Late-night arrivals can be tricky to navigate, and this just takes the stress out of the journey.
Parking
There is no on-site car parking, but rented scooters can be safely parked just outside the villa entrance. We kindly ask that you keep them locked when not in use.
Travelling with Little Ones
We offer a small selection of baby-friendly items for hire, including a wooden cot with mosquito net, high chair, pool fence, and trusted babysitting services. If you’d like to arrange any of these, just let us know ahead of time and we’ll have everything ready for your arrival.
