In the heart of the beautiful coastal town of Fiskardo, itself one of the most iconic and desirable destinations in the Ionian Islands, Leonie is a  wonderful addition to our Kefalonia programme: a substantial, thoughtfully refurbished townhouse within walking distance of shops, tavernas, bars, a small beach... in fact everything one should need to enjoy a relaxing, carefree holiday.
An airy, open plan ground floor, two bedrooms and two shower rooms provide a harmonious blend of facilities while subtle decorative touches include wooden floors in the bedrooms and pretty, ceramic tiling in the well-appointed shower rooms. As all the principal areas have external access to either a balcony or terrace there are gorgeous views to be savoured across the town rooftops to the sea and out over the expansive Bay of Fiskardo to neighbouring islands Ithaca, Lefkada and, on occasion, even the Greek mainland.

Only 250m away, the little town beach of Zavolata is conveniently close for enjoying a refreshing dip in the sea. Named after the local monk seals (Fokia in Greek) nearby Foki Beach (1.5km) is a gorgeous, sheltered cove with a gently sloping shoreline, calm, translucent waters, shady pines and a popular taverna. Just over on the opposite side of town, the verdant Erisos Peninsula (1.7km) is home to Emplisi Beach, a long-time favourite of Vintage Travel guests and a lovely spot for snorkelling.

An array of tavernas from casual to fine dining, cafes, ice cream parlours, cocktail bars fashionable boutiques and, of course, numerous supermarkets offering fresh produce as well as everyday essentials are all walkable from the house, as is the celebrated harbour. 

Focal point of the town and famously picturesque, the vibrant Venetian-styled quayside is fringed by some of Kefalonia’s best restaurants with their waterside dining terraces providing a perfect vantage point to enjoy the impressive array of watercraft, everything from simple fishing boats to grand super-yachts of the rich (and often famous), as they jostle for a prime mooring position!

For a tempting day trip various ferries link Fiskardo to other nearby islands and boat hire, fishing trips and scuba diving are all available locally.
 

Being located next door to Isalos means Leonie could be a good choice for an extended family or a group of friends who can be near to each other whilst retaining their own individual space and privacy. Due to the nearby wooded environs barbecues are not permitted.
Please note: The Greek Government charge a Climate Tax which is payable by guests staying in hotels and other properties. For Leonie the charge is a flat rate of €15 (£13.04) per night. For your convenience we will add this amount to your booking, rather than you having to pay it in resort.
