Private guest house on gorgeous tropical 3 acre estate perfect central location.

Located on the Big Island of Hawaii, this detached studio guest house is fully furnished, very private, with vaulted ceilings on a beautifully landscaped 3 acre privately enclosed property. Property has a gated entrance with private gate code, grounds security system, over 80 fruit trees and 2 Koi fish ponds. Studio sleeps up to 5 (one queen-size bed, one full-size futon sofa bed, and a single blow-up mattress), has 1 bathroom with shower and kitchen with refrigerator, convection oven, stovetop burner, coffee maker, blender, and all necessary kitchen cooking/eating utensils. Rental also includes a dual washer/dryer unit, clothes drying rack, armoire for hanging clothes, outdoor BBQ, outdoor patio seating and eating table for 4, fiber optic high-speed internet, smart TV, yoga mat, umbrellas and other essentials. Outdoor storage shed has 4 beach chairs, 3 beach umbrella, coolers, boogie board, 4 adult snorkel sets/2 child snorkel sets, volleyball, and beach toys that can be used by guests of the rental. Studio has a private entrance, parking spot for 2 vehicles, and 180 degree views of the 3 acre property and Koi fish pond from the patio. Pond area has 4 chairs, bistro table for 2 with umbrella, and 2 lounge chairs with umbrella for guests to use. This guest house is conveniently located 15 minutes south of Hilo and 10 minutes between the small towns of Keaau and Pahoa. There is also a grocery store and farmer’s market within 5 minutes of the rental. This is the perfect central location for all activities on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii, including sites such as Volcanoes National Park, magnificent waterfalls, downtown Hilo, and the famous black sand and green sand beaches.

Great spot

Nous avons vécu un agréable séjour chez Jeff et Jenifer. L'hébergement est incroyable avec une attention aux détails exceptionnelle. Les enfants ont adoré les dessins à colorier (faits par Jeff!), les crayons multicolores, les leis de coquillages et surtout la nourriture pour les poissons de l'étang. L'endroit est lumineux et silencieux. Le soir on peut observer les étoiles au son des grenouilles. Les ingrédients de base et la cuisine bien équipée sont également des plus. L'endroit est a une vingtaine de minutes du parc des volcans et à une vingtaine de minutes d'Hilo. Nous recommandons chaleureusement!

Great place and owners!

We had a great stay at Jennifer and Jeff’s place! A very nice vibe, everything was very clean and new. They offer plenty of things to go to the beach like chairs, umbrella, beach toys and coolers (thank you for all this!!!). There is a futon (more confo than a standard sofa bed) a ukulele and suspended chairs outside which is great. Also a all-in-one washer/dryer! 😼 There’s a fountain, a pound, fruit trees for a great, quiet and peaceful yard. The property has a gate which can be appreciated by some as well. The weather was not on our side but that’s sure that star gazing must be incredible there. Jennifer and Jeff are very very nice and welcoming people! We were fortunate enough to hear Jeff play ukulele and sing, that was a great bonus to the already nice stay! That made us feel even more on vacation. :-) That’s a 100% no brainer to recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at this exceptional property! If you love a tropical landscape, chirping frogs at night and a wake-up call from birds/chickens in the morning, and a quiet space to relax and replenish after a day of adventure this is the place to stay! The guest house is beautifully appointed and Jeff and Jennifer are fabulous hosts that put in extra effort to provide special little touches to your stay. I’m going to miss the smell of the flowers in the guest house and all the peaceful sights/sounds that abound here! Exquisite!

Jennifer and Jeff, the hosts of this property are very welcoming. The accomodation is a quaint little cottage at the back of their home that is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The fruit trees, garden and surrounds are so well care of and we found it very calming and refreshing. I hope we can return one day to stay here again to experience this magical island!

Contemplating a move to the big island made our decision that much more appealing with our three nights stay at Orchidlands Estates. This VRBO embodies and encapsulates the essence of life in Hawaii. From the warmest and friendliest welcome upon our arrival by the hosts to the immaculate grounds and well appointed extra large studio. The magnificent landscape is filled with beautiful tropical flowers and fruit trees. The hosts hard work on this magnificent property shines through on every level. The location is ideal and only a short hop to Volcano National Park or Hilo. It is the perfect place to jump start any adventures and activities you may have planned for your vacation on Hawai'i. In our case, a life changing move to the Big Island. Mahalo nui loa to our host and hostess.

Just a fantastic little spot to get away to. Jennifer and Jeff are very welcoming and have made a truly exceptional oasis here. It’s out of the way enough that you don’t see or hear any of the city stuff, but within striking distance of everything you wanna see on this side of the island. Hope to come back some day soon!
