Bedrooms
Our cosy cottage features two inviting bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom offers a double bed, both located on either side of the entry corridor.

Living and Dining Area
"Alkira" means "bright and sunny" in the Aboriginal language, and you’ll understand why as soon as you step into our lounge and dining area at the back of the house. The space is bathed in warm afternoon sunlight, creating a delightful ambience. The lounge area includes a TV and Xbox, perfect for keeping kids entertained on a rainy day.

Kitchen
Adjacent to the lounge/dining area is a fully equipped kitchen. It includes a variety of pots and pans, a rice cooker, and a microwave. We provide a wide range of herbs and spices, so even with just the basics, you can prepare a delicious meal. Tea, coffee, and sugar are also provided for your convenience.

Work Space
For those needing to work during their stay, the sunroom offers a dedicated workspace with a desk. It can be closed off for privacy, making it ideal for Zoom meetings or focused work sessions.

Bathroom
The compact bathroom, located off the kitchen, is equipped with a sink, toilet, and shower. We supply body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, and fresh towels for your stay.

Location
Alkira Cottage boasts a prime location. Coles and Woolworths supermarkets are just 250 meters away, or a 5-minute walk, and the main street, lined with cafes and restaurants, is only 300 meters away. The Blue Mountains Explorer bus stop is 500 meters away, and the train station is 550 meters from the cottage. While having a car is recommended for exploring the wider Blue Mountains area, you can easily experience the main sights without one.

Guests have access to all of the property and garden. There is a store room under the house that is closed off.
