They truly lack communication. Weâve been taking our grandkids to GWL for 11 years as their Christmas present. Decided to try margaritaville this year and take our kids and spouses, there were 16 of us, 5 rooms. Since this was our first time, I had questions. I talked to someone different at the front desk 4 different times. My first call, I was told I could get Black Friday deals better online. So I went through Expedia. Expedia nor margaritaville could combine my email with reservations so I could go directly through Margaritaville. First red flag. I told them weâve really enjoyed GWL accommodations and they reassured me they had similar. I booked 5 rooms and then called and spoke with Marc and expressed I wanted early check in and combining rooms. The next 3 calls, I asked my questions and reminded them about early check in and combining rooms. The day of our stay, I arrived around 1pm. They proceed to tell me there is a $15 early check in fee. No big deal, BUT not one person i spoke with, told me this. I asked if our rooms were conjoining and they tell me I had doubles and they only conjoin with kings. Had I known that beforehand, I wouldâve upgraded some of the rooms to kings so we could be conjoining. Get checked in and go to the pool. What a joke!!! It was so small!! They have a ninja obstacle course, which would have been nice. But the parents were letting the little kids play on it, so the bigger kids couldnât go across it. Get out and go to arcade. Way too small
