Excellent location, cute cottage. The main reason I did not give a higher rating is that the host/owner is relying on the location alone to pull the entire desirability of the rental. For what theyâre charging, I was disappointed with the overly compact space, and the ârun downâ feel in much of the interior. We only had enough space to open and place one large suitcase in the bedroom as the only thing that will fit is the bed. Screen door barely functional with holes in it. Curtains hard to use practically, as they donât slide easily on the bamboo rods. It was a 10 minute project every morning and evening to draw the curtains. The walls were stained and/or dirty in many places and paint is chipped .. not updated in years. Decor feels cheap and overdone with some pieces that are torn and/or really old looking. From a cleanliness perspective, there is dust accumulated in less used but still visible places like higher surfaces/top of curtain rods etc. We had to accommodate an Orkin ant spraying in the middle of our stay (we were home at the time) because the place was infested. Although they were responsive to the problem, it really impacted our time there as they were EVERYWHERE
