Fun and functional, this studio apartment has everything you need for an enjoyable downtown Kona vacation experience. Unique design and attention to detail provide a charming and relaxing environment. The convenient "no stairs" location is close to parking, the lobby and the pool.

The Kona Islander Inn offers a classic "old Hawaii" atmosphere with its plantation-style architecture. Kick back and enjoy the pool and gardens, or take a stroll through the property to Alii Drive that where you will find oceanfront restaurants, a farmer's market, and a good selection of shopping from clothing and gifts to jewelry and convenience stores. Two popular Luau destinations are a short walk in either direction. There are a couple sandy beaches nearby as well as popular bike-share locations.

The Kona Trolley is a handy way to get an overview of town. Convenient stops along the route include Kona Brewing Company, Target, Kona Coast Shopping Center, Kailua Pier, Coconut Grove Marketplace, Lanihau Center, Kona Inn Shopping Center, Royal Kona Resort, Magic Sands Beach, Kahaluu Beach Park, Keauhou Shopping Center, Kona Country Club and Sheraton Kona Resort.

If you choose to rent a car, there are many recreational and sight seeing opportunities all around the island: coffee, chocolate, and vanilla farms, hiking, golf, snorkeling, boating, fishing, scuba diving, horseback riding, zip lines, Volcano National Park, Puuhonua O Honaunau (Place of Refuge) National Park, botanical gardens, Kohala Resorts, Hawi, Waimea, Hilo... the list goes on and on!

Note: On-site parking can be limited. Best to arrive midday to get a parking space, but not to worry... street-side parking is also available.

Marni's place is everything it's advertised to be. She has found a level of convenience, comfort And style that really works. My wife and I were there for 2 weeksand w always stay in condos wherever we travel as we prefer that lifestyle opposed to a hotel room. This was about our 20th trip to The islands and our third time to the big island. Everything about this condo works for us. It truly is in the most central location in all of Kona. Plus in our view it's in the nicest location in the complex. After a full day of traveling and then walking into this condo and finding a full pitcher of Brita filtered water in the fridge along with most condiments in the pantry plus all The cooking equipment that you will need to make your vacation easier. The bed is comfortable, pillow selection is good and the sheets are soft And cool. Inside the ample closet You will find Tommy Bahama beach chairs, Beach umbrella, two full size boogie boards, pool noodles and even a fishing rod. The complex is clean, quiet and is well lit at night and has a feeling of a safety.The complex gardens are lush and healthy. One night there was a high risk of a storm and power outages. I received an email from Marni that she had purchased additional battery powered lights for us and was dropping them off shortly. Perfect location in Kailua

Beautiful grounds, comfortable studio condo and walking distance to great restaurants and live music are just some of the reasons I return to this property year after year. Being able to walk across the street and view the sunset from the little beach there is icing on "the cake".

Home away from Home

This was such a wonderful stay. It’s such a warm and inviting location. It is close proximity to many shops and restaurants (10-12 min walk OR 2 min drive). The room is EXACTLY like the listing. The air conditioning was perfect for when the sun came out and my spouse really enjoyed the pool & hot tub amenities! The parking situation can be frustrating, but there is enough parking on the road to make up for it! Besides that, the host did a wonderful job decorating this room and the cleanliness is outstanding! Thank you for letting us stay here!

This property is located walking distance to everything in Kona! I could not have chosen a better spot. The host was responsive to any questions, and the pool and hot tub are just steps from the back door. Random thing to make a note of: The towels in this bathroom are the softest, most awesome towels of any place I have ever stayed at. If you're into great towels, great locations, and good vibes, then this is the place for you!

Clean, quiet & convenience in the heart of Kona

“Kona Islander Hawaiian Style” is the perfect place to plant yourself in the heart of Kona! Walking distance to all I needed; boat excursions, great restaurants/bars, beaches & sunsets
 Marni’s Kona Islander Hawaiian Style has it all! I enjoyed the peaceful condo pool on a sunny day & the hot tub when it rained. The maintenance crew & management really look after the common areas and keep it nice. Security cameras around the condo paths also kept me feeling safe. All your snorkel and beach gear is provided. The condo is newly renovated so everything is in perfect condition and clean. Marni has added nice touches, all new appliances - Microwave, toaster oven , hot plate, a sweet Ninja juicer! Thoughtfully appointed Island decor studio condo has all the comforts of home in a cute Hawaiian bungalow. Open the Beautiful closet doors, and I found places to unpack all my items. Helpful shelves in a corner space & furniture with considerately stocked with items any traveler may need. The queen size bed is comfortable with soft sheets and luxurious pillows. If you prefer to cook, the kitchenette is stocked beyond compare. The common BBQ by the pool is very clean and new. I highly recommend Marni’s Kona Islander, so conveniently located you don’t even need to rent a car! Marni was available to answer any questions I had and gave me great local recommendations. Definitely 5 star and affordable!! Mahalos Marni
