The open floor plan of the living space includes 30’ of Fleetwood sliding glass doors that open to a fully-furnished patio that blurs the separation of indoor and outdoor, extending the desert landscape right into the house.

This house has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a chic couch in the living room that can sleep an additional person. It sleeps 5 adults comfortably or 6 (4 adults and 2 kiddos).

The beautiful modern kitchen is fully equipped for any desert-inspired culinary endeavor. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views. The breakfast island sits 4; however, there is ample covered dining space in the outside kitchen. In the dining area, you’ll find a table for 5. Although you may be tempted to take your meal outside to the patio’s dining table, which also seats at least 4.

We want to make sure you are able to capture as much of the desert’s beauty and enjoy the sun as much as possible during your stay here. Thus, the outdoor space had been arranged to optimize your fun and relaxation.

PARKING & EV CHARGER: Parking is available for 2 vehicles, and an electric vehicle charger is provided on the left side of the house. The outdoor shed located besides the enclosure for the trash cans is not for guest use.



WIFI & ESSENTIALS: There is WiFi, heating and air conditioning.



SECURITY: This home has a security camera mounted on the side of the front door and is directed at the exterior of the home in order to monitor the quantity of cars on property so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. Nothing is pointed inside the home or in the backyard area.

Guest Access:

You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Only registered guests are allowed, unless specifically agreed upon during the booking process.



While we encourage taking walks on Shadow Mountain property and in the National Park, please do not wander into our neighbor's backyards in the surrounding area as you will be trespassing on private property.



Also note, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLES (OHV) IN THIS AREA.

This is a remote location down dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.

The PERFECT spot for a relaxing getaway with easy access to all things outdoors, while not being too far away from cute shops and some darn good pizza (amongst other things). Our host was easy to get a hold of and super accommodating when we had questions. Such a great spot for casual stargazing!

Desert modern home, with wonderful private views. 2-3 miles from the western entrance to Joshua Tree. Everything you would need for a nice mountain retreat and relaxation. Spend your days in the park, then enjoy either the hot tub or cowboy cold tub!Lovely time

Perfect Prairie Paradise

Shadow Mountain was the perfect prairie paradise I was looking for to spend some time in Joshua Tree.The home had all the modern conveniences I needed to prepare for, and decompress after, time in Joshua Tree National Park.The home was easy to access, close enough to the area essentials, and would love to visit again soon.
