Elk Horn - Big Canoe GA

Elk Horn is a premier luxury four-bedroom cottage located in the new Choctaw Village area near the Club House, with accessible walking trails managed by Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia. Every detail has been meticulously crafted, from the 200-year-old heart of pine floors to quality furnishings.

The main floor features an open kitchen, a great room, a large dining room with a gas fireplace, an HD flat-screen TV, a half bath, and a master bedroom with a king bed, an HD flat-screen TV, and a large master bath with a walk-in shower and separate tub. A deck off the main floor includes a propane gas fireplace for your enjoyment.

Upstairs, you'll find a king bedroom with a bathroom that includes a tub and separate walk-in shower, as well as an office in the loft. Downstairs, there is a queen bedroom and a bunk bed bedroom (one twin and one double), each with its own bathroom. The rec room features a gas fireplace, an HD flat-screen TV, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a wine cooler, plus a futon for extra sleeping accommodations.

Stayed at this mountain home in Big Canoe for a family wedding. House is great with lots of room and a beautiful deck. It’s walkable to the clubhouse (rather steep, but doable grade). Only issue was the dishwasher needed to have wheels replaced on bottom rack. Will definitely rent here again.

This is a beautiful house in Big Canoe. This house is made for a great getaway in the north Georgia mountains. We had the best time and will use this as our go-to house at Big Canoe.

The cabin was generously stocked with essentials. Perfect location for going to the marina or clubhouse area. Beautiful views! Our second stay. We had a totally relaxing time!

This house has great bones and a well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for hanging out and sleeping as well as a nice, private view off the deck! The location is super convenient. I’d give 5 stars with a refresh of decor. Overall great experience.

Elkhorn was perfect for our large group. Grandchildren had plenty of room downstairs for activities & sleeping. Loved the location! Perfect for golfing & beach only 1 1/2 mi. away. Loved sitting on deck & walking trails nearby.

Great Adult Getaway

We had four couples and the layout was great. Plenty of room to be together or steal a few moments and be alone. Love all of the fireplaces, inside and outside. Great location! Short drive to apple orchard, vineyard, shops, and food. Would recommend to others and look forward to going back!

This property is as advertised. Really nice in a very nice community. IGA is a great grocery store. Because of the toddler we chose to do small outings and eat most meals at the property.

We had a good visit. We did have an issue with the grill the last night we were there and a couple of issues we discussed with the property manager. I liked the property and everyone had a great time.

40th birthday celebration

We stayed at this beautiful home for a quick birthday getaway. The house was fully stocked with all the essentials. Each of us had ample room to spread out! The screened in porch and view were awesome! I highly recommend this home !

Great stay in Big Canoe

My family and I decided last minute to visit Big Canoe for a long weekend. This property was every bit as advertised and an amazing rental for my family. Very clean and plenty of space with nice amenities. We had everything we needed in the kitchen whichnis not always the case. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice option in Big Canoe.

Great place in Big Canoe

This is the second time in as many trips we have stayed at the Elk Horn lodge. We love the location near the south gate with the golf course and lake close by as well. It is always clean and well stocked with basic kitchen needs. The house was the lerfect size for our group of 6 and easily could have accommodated more people. Im sure we will be back again next year!

Great luxury cabin getaway!

We stayed for a long weekend over the Christmas holiday and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We had an issue figuring out the main fireplace and called for maintenance, and they came out immediately, and also sent the propane company to refill the gas just in case. The house itself was beautiful, clean and even larger than the photos. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful place

Big Canoe is a wonderful place to get away. Beautiful views and the leaves this time of year were amazing! The home is beautiful with nice furnishings and very roomy. The stairs are steep so be prepared. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds were comfortable. The only down side might be that being dog friendly the couches could use cleaning or replacing. Would recommend though as we had a wonderful time here.

This is a beautiful home and was perfect for three familes to share during our family reunion at Big Canoe. Five grandchildren from 1-10 enjoyed the bunk beds and finding a huge bag of legos and other games in the lower family room. It was nice having a master suite on the first floor. The location is good for getting to golf and all the activities at the swim club.
