Neighborhood

Jackaroo is located in a quiet street back off the road therefore is it not suitable for parties or loud music.
We are located less than a 10 minute drive from Queenstown airport and the Frankton shopping area. There you will find large supermarkets, a full range of shops and many cafes. Queenstown is a 20 minute drive away.

The Jacks Point Golf Course and Restaurant are only a short drive away . There is over 35km of walking, hiking and cycling tracks right at the back door. It is less than 2 hours drive from Invercargill and is on the route from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Most importantly for those who love to Ski it is only few minutes drive to the base and entrance of the Remarkable’s ski field.

Originally farmland the Jacks Point Estate has been developed trying to keep the 3,000 acres in harmony with their original surroundings. From the planting of native fauna to the design of the houses this estate was 15 years in the planning.

Jacks Point is home to the acclaimed 18 hole Championship Golf Course, it has extensive mountain bike and walking trails, tennis courts, playground, sports fields and not to forget the Clubhouse and Restaurant which sit on the picturesque Lake Tewa which is also available for fly fishing. Here in Jacks Point we embrace the lifestyle and enjoy nature.

Guests have access to the whole house except a couple of locked owners cupboards.
The garage is only available for storage such as skis and sporting equipment. No vehicles can park in the garage. Parking is available for 2 vehicles on the driveway.

As you step inside, the journey begins with it’s beautiful entrance. The hallway welcomes you with decorative bird sculptures, nestled behind a grand open glass pane New Zealand native gardens, setting the tone for the natural beauty that surrounds you.

The heart of Jackaroo is the open-plan lounge, living, dining, and kitchen area, designed for seamless living. Sunlight streams in from both ends, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout. The front deck beckons with its big, comfy chairs and a cozy bar, where you can relish the majestic mountains and the mesmerizing lights of Queenstown over a good glass of red.

The lounge/living area offers a place to relax and unwind as you sink into the sofas with its open log fire. A smart TV and a fabulous piano are just a couple of additions for those who wish to tinkle the ivories. A record player and games are also at your disposal, providing the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories.

The dining room is ready to host your culinary adventures, accommodating up to six guests. An open kitchen, complete with all the modern conveniences, for delightful meals. The dining area leads to a charming little deck, providing yet another spot to bask in the natural beauty for your morning coffee.

The deck from the kitchen is the ultimate relaxation destination, boasting a generous open fire, plenty of outdoor furniture, and views of the snow-capped mountains. The Remarkables provide a stunning backdrop to this outdoor haven, ensuring you're enveloped in their splendor.

The master bedroom is a haven of comfort and luxury, offering a king-size bed with an electric blanket. Step out onto the deck and read your book on the modern outdoor chairs, where you'll be surrounded by native gardens and the Remarkables mountains.

The master features a modern ensuite with heated towels and towel racks, as well as a walk-in wardrobe. A king-size bed with a hotel-style mattress topper and a Smart TV and reading chair complete the experience.

Bedroom 2 beckons with two king single beds, equipped with snug electric blankets and a large Smart TV. A built-in wardrobe ensures you have ample space to make yourself at home.

Meanwhile, Bedroom 3 is a spacious queen room, complete with its own Smart TV, electric blankets, and built-in wardrobe.

For those who need to maintain productivity or simply seek a peaceful work retreat, a dedicated workspace for two awaits along with two comfortable office chairs.

The modern 2nd bathroom has just been renovated to include a toilet and a large shower, underfloor heating, and a heated towel rack. Additionally, there is a separate powder room with a toilet and vanity for your convenience.

Laundry needs are effortlessly met in a separate, well-equipped space, complete with a washing machine, dryer, and ample room for hanging clothes.

Transit

We will send you directions 3 - 5 days prior to your arrival. Make sure you check your email or Airbnb inbox.
It is recommended you have a car but not essential as there is a public bus that runs from Jack Point every hour.
We are approx 10 minutes from the airport and the Frankton shopping district. Less than 5 minutes to the bottom carpark to The Remarkables Ski field and only 20 minutes into downtown Queenstown

Notes

The garage is only available for storage such as skis and sporting equipment. No vehicles can park in the garage. There is ample space on the driveway and in the visitors parking for cars.

The outdoor fire cannot be used if there a total fire ban in the area. Please check before you light.

13/10/25 - We have just renovated our main bathroom and the house no longer has a bath but an extra toilet and bigger shower (new photos to follow)

There is a vacant block across the road from us so there is the potential for someone to build on it in the near future. Please bear this in mind if booking the house.

House Rules

The house is to be left tidy with dishes done, rubbish in the big bins provided and all windows and doors locked.
Rubbish bins to be put out for collection on Thursday night for Friday collection. Refer to the in-house compendium for more details.
No smoking. There shall be no use of illegal substances or conduct of illegal activities at the property
You must be 25 years or older to book this property and the person booking must stay.
No loud parties - please be respectful of our neighbours and keep noise levels to a minimum. There shall be no amplified sound played in the garden (Outdoor Living Area) between the hours of 8.00pm and 8.00am Use of the outdoor areas are not allowed after 10pm and before 7am (per council rules)
Please put the outside cushions back in their respective storage boxes

Nice property

Jackaroo is a clean and well set out dwelling. Kitchen was well appointed except for a crummy spatula.Location is good and property was nicely quiet.overall good value
