Family Vacation
Enjoyed this property with just a few minor inconveniences. The listing is accurate and appointed very well. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Location was greatâŠalthough some times it felt too far from everything but nothing that our golf cart rental couldnât get us to in about 20 min.
Inconveniences:
1) Couldn't sit out on porch at all due to a big wasp nest. Called maintenance and they came to spray but they were still there the remaining time we were there.
2) there is no grill. We are a family that likes to grill out as much as we eat out on vacation. After getting groceries on our first day there, which included steaks, we quickly realized there was not a grill at the townhouse or there was not a grill available to use. We went to Walmart (40 min away) to get a cheap grill. This was not listed as an amenity; I just assumed as it has always been included in all of our VRBO stays at other locations.
3) we received a text on the 2nd day of our stay stating that the pool was closed due to the emergency phone system being down. The next day, when we returned from the beach, we wanted to cool off in the pool. After swimming for 15 min, security showed up and told us that the pool was closed due to no emergency phone. We told him that all 5 of us in the pool had a cell phone in case of emergency and he responded with a very rude comment. We had 3 kids with us that love to swim on vacation so the pool being closed 4 days of our trip was a bummer.
