Brand New Hot Tub just added! Enjoy the views of Hamlin Creek, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the beautiful sunsets seen from the second story wrap around deck of Palmetto Sunset. It is a five-bedroom, three-bathroom home directly across from the creek and 2 short blocks from 6th Ave Beach Access. A perfect getaway!

This charming property is unique has two separate entrance doors and was previously a duplex offering 3 bedrooms up and 2 bedrooms down. The interior has been modified and access is open to both floors.

Relax in two living rooms and an upper level dining room that seats 8 comfortably. The upstairs living room features a 65” Samsung Smart television and Wi-Fi. The downstairs living room features a queen size sleeper sofa and a 55' TV with ROKU capability. There is plenty of seating on the decks and around the pool for your rental party to sit and relax. The cabana bathroom with access from the lower level deck and pool also contains a full size washer and dryer, laundry sink, stall toilet and stall shower. The property has a well stocked full size kitchen, one on the upper level and a smaller kitchen that has perfect access to the inground pool area. The upper floor's 3 bedrooms contain a king size bed with TV and Roku, a queen size bed with TV and Roku, and the third bedroom that has a full/twin bunk and additional twin bed respectively. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed with TV and Roku and the other a full/twin bunk and additional twin bed. The lower deck has plenty of seating for a dinner prepped on the propane grill. Relax on the upper level screened in porch or large deck with umbrellas or chaise lounges and enjoy your favorite beverage taking in the beautiful waterside views while enjoying the picture perfect sunsets and evening ocean breezes.

Palmetto Sunset is located a 5-minute walk to the beach access. The island grocery store, and many beach side restaurants and shops are a œ mile away. The IOP Connector allows for easy on and off access from Isle of Palms. Only ten minutes from beautiful Mount Pleasant and 17 minutes to the downtown seaport of historic Charleston. Charleston International Airport is about a 30 minute drive.

All pets must be approved by rental company prior to booking. A ring door bell camera is installed at the front door on the property for additional security. Rents Saturday to Saturday in the summer. MUST be at least 25 years or older to rent.

We enjoyed our stay. House needs a few update's. Door broken on bathroom downstairs. Ceiling fan outside does not work and some outdoor furniture needs repair. Pool area needs a few trees cut back. King bed very uncomfortable. We also seen several ants in kitchen. House is clean and has great amenities with pool and hot tub. Thanks for making our beach trip great. This was our second year coming and we plan on returning.

Fun family spot

Older home with close walk to beach. Beach is FANTASTIC... clean, no weeds or muck (e.g. better than some Carribean beaches we have traveled to!) Allows pet. House was very clean upon arrival. Hot tub and pool were available and a nice plus. Good floor plan for larger family; adults and teens able to seperate with 2-3 living areas inside the house. 3 baths and 5 bedrooms of nice size; sleeps 12 easily (9 beds). Two kitchen areas which were stocked okay (2 full fridges, plus mini drink fridge). Outside sitting areas were sufficient with fenced in yard for the pet. Enjoyed our stay!

Private Comments (Leave public review in next box)We stayed at 600 Palm Blvd in mid-June 2025. The home is a much older home and an attempt at remodel has recently been done. We were there with 3 generations of family, a total of 7 people. The home was clean. The AC worked well. However, the home is not safe and should not be rented as it currently stands. During the week that we were there, we sustained 3 separate leaks during rain storms. One of the bedrooms had a leak come down from the ceiling (next to the AC vent) and 2 separate first-floor windows also had leaks. The front window was not secure in the frame and the area above the window had obvious rot. The worst part of the entire situation was a 3x3 inch post that secures privacy screen on the front porch had rotted and fell when my daughter leaned against the post. Luckily, I was able to catch the post before it fell on my daughter. The home has many improvements that are needed, and in my opinion, should not be rented as it currently stands.

A little disappointed

We’ve been staying on IOP for almost 40 years. Never had any complaints. However this house was a bit of a disappointment. It did have lots of room for our family and the hot tub was nice. However there was a lot of broken things in the house and things that did not work. The yard was a bit junky as well. We made do just fine but it is unusual to have these issues.The pool was nice but it was just too chilly that week for the pool. We would have really enjoyed that otherwise.

Nice location

We have stayed at this property before and decided to use it again. We like the close walk to the beach and the pool to cool off after a long day at the beach. The 2 separate levels allows out young adults to have their own space.

Family friendly

We took our family here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from college of Charleston. Contrary to other reviews we found the house to be clean and stocked well. Yes, it is an old beach house, not perfect, but clean and functional. I found the kitchen to be adequate.... I cooked several large meals and the worse thing missing was a cutting board. We took our dog and to be honest, I normally do not like places where other dogs stay because they usually smell like a dog. We tend to go overboard making sure our spaces are clean and do not smell like a dog. We found no evidence that other dogs were there. The pool was not as attractive as the photo and hard to keep clean with the trees and shrubs nearby. The pool guy did come while we were there though. Overall, it was good.

Great Location.

Excellent lay-out for two families. Everything we needed. The fixtures and surfaces in the bathrooms and kitchen could be updated and a deep cleaning of tile and baseboards is needed. The place was fine and we enjoyed our stay but it needs to be updated.
