Inverness is the capital of the Highlands and has many tourist attractions, Inverness Castle, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, Culloden Battlefield, Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. There is a large selection of supermarkets, local shops, restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as a cinema, theatre, Aquadome and trampoline park. There are five golf courses, one of which is Castle Stuart, which has hosted the Scottish Open. Why not try some fishing in the River Ness?
