This characterful, 18th-century cottage nestles in the centre of a peaceful village near North Devonâs golden coastline. With the local shop and pub at your feet, youâre never far from fresh ingredients for cooking, and local fare for nights away from the kitchen. Walkers will love the many trails leading away from the village and towards the coast where the famous South West Coast Path (6 miles) beckons scenic strolls along the cliffs. For a traditional day on the beach, head to the surf village of Woolacombe (6 miles) where a 3-mile stretch of golden sand presents the perfect opportunity for water sports and family fun. Woolacombe also offers a charming selection of fish and chip takeaways, cafes and shops. Another sun-soaked spot to visit is the pretty Victorian town of Ilfracombe (4 miles) where a bustling harbour offers day trips to the magical Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel.
