Firewood is not included, but if you let us know when booking, we’ll have it ready for your arrival for an additional fee. The room also features air conditioning, so you’ll be comfortable year-round.

Distinguished as being the “most Portuguese in Portugal”, the village of Monsanto is located on the steep hillsides. It is a fascinating place, with a peaceful and authentic environment that has traces of human presence since the Paleolithic era. The best places to eat in the village are Taverna Lusitana (for breakfast), and the Cruzeiro and Petiscos & Granitos restaurants. Casa Mont'Santo is close to some tourist points of the city that are worth visiting, such as:

The property is 26 km away and Idanha-a-Nova, 18 km from Marechal Carmona Dam, 55 km from Castelo Branco and about 25 minutes from the border with Spain.

￫ Casa Mont'Santo has the “Clean and Safe” seal from the Portuguese Tourism Authority due to Covid-19.
￫ In order to ensure your safety, and in accordance with Covid-19 best practices, our properties are always cleaned by a professional cleaning team.
￫ The property is Self-Catered. Complimentary basic items are provided for your arrival, including first-day toiletries, toilet paper, etc. These items are offered on a welcome basis only - replacements or re-fills are not provided. All other items must be acquired by the guest.
￫ Bed and bath linen are provided according to the number of guests confirmed in the reservation. For stays longer than 7 nights, additional bed and bath linen will be provided for free at the check-in.
￫ The cleaning fee included in your reservation covers the check-out cleaning only. Extra cleanings or fresh linens can be requested during your stay and are subject to an extra fee - these requests must be done with at least 24 hours in advance.
￫ Check-in time starts from 15:00 to 22:00 (additional cost of 25€ for check-ins after 22:00). Only one set of keys will be provided.
￫ We are obligated by Portuguese law to collect our guest's passport information.
￫ Check-out will be presencial and must be done until 12pm.
￫ During the stay, the guest is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the property's keys. Please avoid leaving them in the lock or mailbox. In the event that a specialized technician is needed for door opening or in case of damage to the key and/or lock, the costs associated with this service will be the responsibility of the guest. In case of key loss, a penalty will be applied.
￫ For reservations equal or longer than 28 nights, the property bills are included up to 150€. Exceeding amounts will be charged separately.
￫ Firewood is not included, but if you let us know when booking, we’ll have it ready for your arrival for an additional fee.
