Step inside this rustic lodge where you will be welcomed into a cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner decorated in calming natural tone that mirror the outdoor surroundings.
A comfy sofa for two is the perfect spot to enjoy watching the Smart TV or having an evening of board games, whilst the well-equipped kitchen area offers everything you may need for whipping up a romantic meal for two that can be enjoyed at the dining table. The lodge is fully heated.
A full-length window offers the ideal location for admiring the outside wildlife from the comfort of a large farmhouse chair which also makes for the perfect spot to curl up with a good book and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner-effect electric fire. When you are ready for bed, head to the double bedrooms for a relaxing night's sleep. The bedroom is completed with an en-suite shower room.

Enjoy some outdoor relaxation. The private spacious decking, adorned with a built in barbecue and the private signature wood-fired hot tub creates a perfect atmosphere to relax and admire the stars on a clear night. The decking extends outwards to provide a sun trap on warmer days, where you will find a table with seating and a stone BBQ, which can be dual purpose either as a charcoal BBQ or a firepite for those chilly evenings.
Squirrel has an outdoor drying room for wet coats and boots and a covered seating area which is perfect for listening to the sounds of nature, whatever the weather may be.
Hayne Barn Estate is 20 minutes walk to Saltwood village, where buses go to Hythe and Folkestone. 8 minutes walk across the woods to Sandling station which has regular links to London, Dover and Folkestone but if it rains you need to follow the road and that takes 35 minutes walk. A car is recommended but for those who enjoy walking or cycling it is not a problem. Taxis are available too from the station. We use 01303 252000.
The pretty town of Hythe is just 2 miles away and offers a good array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a beach ideal for keen swimmers and water sports enthusiasts or just for enjoying a spot of swimming. Alternatively, take a stroll or e-bike along the Royal Military Canal which runs from Hythe to Rye and is a great way to see the local area.
Hop in the car and take a trip to Port Lympne Safari Park (5 miles) we are able to provide you a unique code for 25% discount on your day out - or venturing slightlty further is Dover Castle (13 miles) and the historical city of Canterbury (18 miles) - Cathedral and Marlowe theatre are worth a visit.

Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy a game on either the indoor or outdoor tennis courts that are on site. Courts must be booked and please bring your own equipment.

We send our guests all necessary information before arrival with various discounts we have on certain activities or hampers for your special celebrations, e-bike hire, restaurants and pubs.
We supply a complimentary whole basket of logs, 1 bag of charcoal and kindling, enough to light the hot tub for the first night. You can purchase more logs on site.
Hot tub instructions and QR code to view how to light the fire are available in the folder and on the table. Follow them step by step.
You will find all sorts of useful information in the folder, instructions to light the hot tub and telephone numbers for guests to contact us during their stay.
We will send you all necessary information before your arrival to make your stay enjoyable or prepare a special occasion with a Hampers delivery on the day.
The whole area in the woodlands is available for our guests, but our property and grounds remain private.
