The Golden Retreat @ Hyams Beach - Pet Friendly, Linen & Wifi Provided

The Golden Retreat is the perfect home-away-from-home for your visit to Jervis Bay. Superbly located at the centre of Hyams Beach you will not be disappointed with the panoramic views of Jervis Bay and the famous white sandy beaches. Should you ever tire of the water views, the large back patio and BBQ area provides tranquil views of the bush and the Jervis Bay National Park.


The Golden Retreat has four generously sized bedrooms, front to back open plan living space that runs onto the patio, BBQ area and large, fully secure backyard.


Of course, no trip to Hyams would be complete without visiting the white sandy beaches. The Golden Retreat’s central location means it is only a short stroll to all three of Hyams beautiful beaches and their crystal-clear waters.


For bushwalkers and bird watchers, The Jervis Bay National Park and the White Sands coastal walk that connects Hyams with Vincentia, Huskisson and the many beautiful bays and beach in between is right on the doorstep.

Pets: The Golden Retreat welcomes all members of the family and has a large and secure backyard for your pets to enjoy.


Linen: For your comfort and convenience, The Golden Retreat provides all your bedroom linen, bathroom towels, bathmats and kitchen tea-towels.


For the beach we request that supply your own beach towels.


Parking: The is free onsite parking. Please be advised that the is an undercover carport however it has low clearance (1.8max). Alternatively, guests can park in the driveway or on the street (free). Please note the garage is locked and not available for use by guests.


Arrivals and Departures
Check-in: On the day of your arrival check in is from 2:00pm
Checkout: On the day of departure checkout is 10:00am


Guests can self check-in any time after 2:00 with keys provided in lock box.


Please Note: Extra Cleaning fees will apply if the property is not left in a similar state of which it was found.


$50 BBQ cleaning fee will be applied if the BBQ is left unclean after use.

Very disappointed on arrival with the state of the veranda: sand, pet hair everywhere, not swept, front door mat falling apart, door mat to main bedroom full of sand and pet hair. Small fridge on back verandah not working. Beds in every room not comfortable and so low to get in and out of. No ceiling fans in kitchen/living areas. This property needs a good cleaning with both the front and back outside areas and tidy up and presented in more of a professional manner. Get rid of the cobwebs and don’t have dog bowels scattered all over the place, keep them tidy in ONE area. Obviously very disappointed.

Perfect beachside holiday

A very comfortable, cozy house with plenty of outdoor space for children and dogs to run around. The proximity to the beach was a major plus! The manager Christina was very prompt with her response to a request for help.

Amazing views

Hyams Beach is a family favourite. This property is well located & away from crowds. We loved the covered Verandah with amazing views to point perpendicular & the hunter moon rising. The laundry handy for young children.

Great location in quiet village (winter)

Had 4 nights in this property in peaceful Hyams beach. Situated between the bush and the beach it's a great locations, with good walks nearby. The property sleeps 8 but I wouldn't have tried that many people in winter time as it lends itself more to outdoor living with great spaces behind the house and a front deck, while the living area inside is relatively small. Only downside for us was very low beds, surprised noone else has commented - they do not suit anyone with mobility issues.

Just perfect

I honestly can't thank Christina enough. Her availability and communication was second to none, not that we had any issues whatsoever. It was a perfect break for us and our two large but well-behaved dogs. The property is fully enclosed with amazing views, and we had everything we needed in terms of the kitchen, linens, and heaters, to make the most of a great winter break. Thank you again,

Hyams Beach

The view was distant & it took 24 hours to warm the house. The hot tub was a bathtub. Hyams has no corner shop & the only takeaway closes at 2.30. Overall just OK but pricey.

Perfect beach getaway

Great Place!

Had a fabulous time at the Golden Retreat Hyams Beach. Place had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Super stylish and the views from the front and backyard deck are just stunning!!! Walk to the beach in minutes ! Will definitely be back.

Fantastic!

I was hesitant to leave a review because I really didn’t want too many people finding out about this gem! Our family had a fantastic week away. Great location. Suited all members of our family; teens, parents, grandparents and dog. The owners were good communicators and quick to help. Next time we are heading to Hyams Beach we will definitely look to book this property

Peaceful family getaway

We stayed here with our family from the UK. The balcony at the front has a gorgeous view of the water, and glimpses of Hyams beach. It is an easy walk to beaches and a fabulous park for the kids nearby. Beds were comfy and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Fabulous beach house

Loved the beach house. Clean and modern. Dog friendly with a secure yard which my dog absolutely loved. Easy short walk to the beach and coffee shop. Highly recommend to stay.
