Enjoy sunrises and sunsets and good conversation as you take a restful break in our charming lake cottage.

Swim, kayak, or just enjoy your view on this quiet 61 acre “No Wake” lake. Spend the day floating or kayaking down the beautiful Pigeon River and end up at your own home away from home! Enjoy mother nature with sightings of eagles, osprey, deer, otters, turkeys, beavers and more!

If Fishing is your thing, Pigeon River is stocked with trout each spring. Small mouth, largemouth, walleye, northern pike, channel catfish, crappies, bluegills and others are all possibilities!

After an enjoyable day on the water you can take a short drive to an area restaurant to grab a bite to eat. There are several within 5-10 minutes in all directions. Or choose to cook in our fully equipped kitchen or even make yourself some smash burgers on the provided Blackstone Griddle. Afterwards, relax on the spacious lakeside deck or enjoy a campfire around the fire pit…..the S’more the better!!


For a rainy day or if the water isn’t your thing, Shipshewana is just 15 minutes away (a tourist town full of Amish heritage, shopping, restaurants, flea market, and concerts) South Bend and the University of Notre Dame are just 50 minutes to the West and Kalamazoo is just 50 minutes to the North.

The Space:


This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic cooking utensils, salt and pepper and Olive Oil and has a large island with additional bar seating. The dining room table boasts a stunning view of the lake!


The living Room has a big comfy couch to relax as you take in a movie night on our 65 in TV and also pulls out into a large twin/double bed. Enjoy free WIFI with our high speed internet and log in to one of your favorite streaming services. We also have an antenna that picks up local stations.


You'll want to spend as much time on the spacious deck as possible! Bring your fishing pole & fish from two docks, grill your dinner on our Blackstone Griddle & eat outside while you take in the view, then roast s'mores over the fire as you take in the evening sounds of life at the lake.


We supply a limited amount of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and laundry detergent. We encourage bringing or purchasing additional supplies if you anticipate needing more.


We have 4 kayaks available for use! You are welcome to bring your own boat to dock at our pier. Please remember that Pigeon Lake is a no wake lake with a 5 mph speed limit. Docks and kayaks will be available Memorial weekend through September (please check to see if they are out yet if you want them sooner)

Parking is available for 2 cars only. 2 car limit STRICTLY enforced.


The Neighborhood:


Our cottage is located in a quiet lakeside neighborhood! We love our neighbors so
please be respectful & observe quiet time after 10PM. Please also be respectful and stay in our yard. There is a fence on both sides.


Other Things to Note:


We have 4 kayaks and several adult life jackets. If you have children, please bring an appropriate life jacket for them.
You are also welcome to bring your own boat or kayaks or paddle boards. We are located a few houses down from the public access.
Swimming is available off the dock. Lakes are often unpredictable so please take safety precautions & have children wear life jackets.

We love when our guests are celebrating a special occasion! If there is anything we can do to make your celebration more enjoyable, just reach out! We would love to help if we can!

House Rules & other details about the Property:

- Our home is smoke-free and pet-free.
- To ensure all our guests enjoy peace of mind during their stay, we vigorously disinfect the entire home after every visit and wash all linens and bedding, including comforters, after every guest.
- Additional convenience and safety features include smart door & security outside motion light.
⁃ Parking for up to 2 cars free. No street parking available.


~~~As a quick disclaimer and note to potential guests, we are a FAMILY ORIENTED neighborhood. We are NOT a party house and have a strict 10pm - 7am noise rule. After 10pm our neighbors should not hear you. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO PARTY and come and go all hours of the night, we are not a good fit for you. Rowdiness, excessive noise, loud music, etc. are all grounds for removal. Our neighbors are all families who have children. Please be considerate of them and respectful of this rule or you will be made to leave the property immediately.~~~

The home is exclusively yours, without interruption for the duration of your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home. Depending on the length of your stay, someone may come and mow the lawn, but they will not bother you.

All TVs: These Roku smart TV’s allow you to access your own streaming services (such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, etc.) as well as many built in channels. The living room TV also has local channels through our antenna.
To be respectful of the neighbors, please be mindful of noise levels between 10pm. to 7am. Any complaints from neighbors will incur a $50 fee enforceable by renting the property.

Self-Check-in - You will gain access to the property via a code entered on a keypad specifically for your stay which will be provideda few days prior to your arrival.
Check-in time is anytime after 4:00pm
Check-out time is before 11:00am
