Much love, respect, and work has gone into creating the Garage-Mahal at Cape Catherine to be appreciated by family gatherings and groups wanting to bond and enjoy Lake Catherine for its beauty, adventure and peacefulness in a clean, well-cared for home. Outdoor security cameras with views of the entrances and exits have been installed. They are only monitored if neighbors inform us of excessive noise (past quiet hours) or parties occurring. We value and respect the privacy of our guests.

Cape Catherine is a private peninsula on Lake Catherine. The peninsula is home to 3 houses; The Big House, The Garage-Mahal and The Cottage. You will be sharing the peninsula with guests in the other two houses. However, you will be the only one to have access to The Garage-mahal. The Garage-Mahal is not shared with anyone.

I am just a phone call or text away if you have any questions. We have a handyman on call if you need something we can not resolve over the phone or text.

You must be 25 years of age or older to rent this house.

The lake, docks, paddle boards, and kayaks are for your use. Use them and swim at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur while using these items.

This house is on Lake Catherine. Entergy drains Lake Catherine every year for shoreline maintenance and general Lake Health. That means that FROM MID-NOVEMBER TO MID-MARCH THERE IS NO WATER UNDER THE DOCKS OR AROUND THE PENINSULA.
Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.

The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age.

The person renting the unit must be the person staying in the unit.

A guest list with names and ages and number of vehicles must be provided.

Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am

A minimum charge of $200 per animal will be paid by the guest, if an animal is brought into the unit without prior permission from the host.
