Cozy, relaxing, 3-bedroom home on lake Ponderosa with AC in serene Honesdale

Your adventure begins at this 3-bedroom home. Inside, you will find three queen beds and a cozy sofa bed, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The single bathroom includes a hair dryer for added convenience. Climate control keeps the space comfortable no matter the season. This delightful home offers a pleasant retreat where guests can unwind and recharge. Make your getaway one for the books with a stay at our place.

On more than an acre of wooded land over looking Lake Ponderosa. Located around 20 miles to ski resorts and about 60 miles from the Pocono raceway.

Grill on or just enjoy the private deck overlooking the lake and wildlife. Or observe nature from large windows inside. Bring your kayaks and poles to use. There is a fire pit outback. A gas fireplace is available inside from Oct 1 until mid May. You can unplug and enjoy your stay. Or the home is equipped with high speed Starlink internet.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with a stove with oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and single serve Keurig for k-cups. We’ve got everything you’ll need if you feel like cooking. If you’re more in the mood for to grill we have a gas grill on the deck. I have a few games and cards available for you to use. Also a game of ladder toss you can take out back to play.


I would recommend bringing some groceries with you or stopping on your way since the nearest grocery store is about a 30 minute drive. I do stock some basic spices, cooking spray, and cooking oil in the kitchen cabinets.

There are some extra folding chairs available for you to use on the deck or by the fire pit or even by the water. The house has Starlink high speed internet. All four TVs are smart TVs if you want to use them. If you do, you may use your own passwords to log in to your favorite streaming network. I do have peacock logged in for guests to use. I have a variety of DVDs or bring your own DVD's to play in the DVD player. There is limited cell service but the WIFI is strong and you can use wifi calling if your service is not strong.


If you are bringing pets. Please do not allow pets on the furniture or an additional cleaning fee will be charged.

The backyard also has some mature apple and peach trees. If the fruit is mature, you are welcome to pick a few to utilize while here at the house.

Your personal Kayaks and canoes are able to be launched from the back yard. Swimming in the water at the foot of the property is not recommend due to snapping turtles. Long Pond Lake is an easy walk that is about .8 of a mile away. It has public access for a bit larger boats for water skiing. Or even more fishing and exploring with your kayaks and canoes.

Bring your kayaks and canoes and launch them right from the backyard for easy access to the water. Please note that swimming in the water at the property is not recommended due to the presence of snapping turtles. If you're looking for a larger lake, or to explore. Long Pond Lake is just an easy 0.8-mile walk away. It features a public boat launch suitable for larger boats, making it a great place for water skiing, fishing, or more exploring by kayak or canoe.

A whole house generator is automatic for power outages. During the winter you will more than likely need all wheel drive or 4x4 to get up to the house.
