While remote, this cabin has running water, and electricity. The kitchen is equipped to meet most cooking/baking needs, and the shower room includes a vanity sink and provides a nice touch at the end of an active day. While there is no indoor toilet, the outhouse is maintained in a very clean condition.
Though the mailing address is in Seldovia, this property is remotely located in Tutka Bay and is accessible only by water. The property has a private dock for guests using their own boats, and guests without personal boats can easily access the property through one of the local water taxi services out of Homer.
An antenna helps boost cell phone service, but internet will only be accessible through a phone hot spot.
Hosts are not on property but are available to assist in the event of an emergency.
Due to the heavily forested area surrounding the cabin, open fires and fireworks are not permitted on the beach. A gas fire pit is available on the front deck, as well as a gas grill and picnic table. Outdoor dining dishes are also provided.
Camping is not allowed, and due to the small size of the cabin, the maximum occupancy is 4 adults. We encourage families, but are not able to accommodate large parties, or personal events.
Hosts, John and Beth Wythe are longtime residents of the area and have had the opportunity to enjoy all that Tutka Haven has to offer as a secluded get away, for relaxation, or an access portal to the greater Kachemak Bay State Park area. This property is a little piece of heaven and maintained as a rental so that we can share the enjoyment of the area with others.
