The high street boasts a range of artisan and boutique shops that are perfect for pottering and the town attracts lots of Christmas shoppers due to its range of unique goods and its pretty Christmas lights display. Venture further however and you can be at the stunning North Norfolk coastline in minutes. Head east or west to find a string of pretty seaside villages and towns with a range of habitats including marshes, quays and sand and shingle beaches. Visit Cromer and the historic pier or Blakeney for a spot of crabbing or a trip to see the seals (seasonal). History buffs will enjoy a trip on North Norfolk railway, a visit to the Blickling Hall Estate and a trip around the Thursford and Muckleburgh collections. Nature lovers will flock to nearby Cley Marsh and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve. And, you can even be in the heart of the Norfolk Broads in just 40 minutes.
