Kikala Waterfall Lodge is a unique experience. Nature is your lullaby. We fell asleep to the sound of flowing water, croaking frogs, and the birds chirping. The rain shower added to the experience. The cabin was clean. The lodge had all you would need -kitchen, bathroom with shower, a living space with couch and chairs.
We enjoyed the easy hike to the waterfall and opted not to swim due to cloud cover.
The grounds have all you except to see in a Hawaiian rainforest.
It is not your traditional hotel experience, but a step into Hawaiian life.
We enjoyed our staff. Perf3xr amount of space for the six in our group. I expected to check in at a central location but instead, found the rental (finally). It was unlocked and there was a welcome note and binder with information for our stay. There is no cellular service, so we were unable to contact the property to confirm the check in process. Overall good stay. It was awesome listening to the frogs and wildlife at night!
Wonderful place to rest and adorns time with family. Peaceful and beautiful. The staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
Check-in was a bit quirky, but the location is great with a beautiful backdrop. Note: there's no AC, so it was a little warm at night. We briefly didn't have hot water and stove gas, but it was fixed within an hour. Overall, Iâd recommend this place.
This place is surrounded by nature. Itâs a glamping experience as you are surrounded by the waterfall and various animals. You can even swim in the waterfall. They have 2 restrooms and showers, kitchen, dining, and tv about 20 feet from your sleeping area shared by guests from 3 lodges. They clean the restrooms and kitchen area daily.
The trip to the bathroom at night was a problem for seniors. Must sign in after 3:00pm or no one is there. Living with nature, the sounds of birds and frogs, all the different plants and flowers, a fun experience.
It was beautiful but was freezing. Heavy rain the whole time. Pack as if youâre going camping with warm clothes, coats, socks, sneakers. No heater in cabin. Bad weather meant we couldnât go down to see the waterfall or surrounding area. The place has potential but it wasnât worth the money for us.
Beautiful property with new private cabins.
Common area exceptional- with clean new restrooms and fully equipped kitchen/dinning area.
Stream and waterfall is beautiful running below the cabins. Peaceful with the gurgling steam and chirping frogs. Sunrises on the hill is an added plus.
Axel was extremely welcoming and educated us on the trees And plants he has planted. He is passionate about his property and happy to share with others.
Highly recommend!
