The driveway is located on the right just 1 mile down Pilot Ridge Road from 221-N. The driveway is steep. 4WD/AWD is necessary in winter months during icy or snowy conditions. Salt and plowing is provided when needed.



The cabin is located just minutes from 221N and the Blue Ridge Parkway (very near the Viaduct) with Grandfather Mountain just a 15 minute drive. There are abundant trails and waterfalls along scenic 221N for hiking and exploring. With a little further drive enjoy the shops, restaurants and excursions offered in downtown Blowing Rock, Linville or Banner Elk!

Surrounded by rhododendron and forest, the cabin provides a private and secluded retreat. Inside an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and plenty of space (2000 sf) make it a great family or group gathering location. Enjoy the rustic cabin feel, 4 comfortable bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, table and bar seating for 8, a gas stove for cold winter nights, a separate entertainment area with surround sound, TV and games and internet access. In addition to the porch, enjoy the outdoor firepit, grill and beautiful forest views with seasonal long and short range mountain views. The front porch spans the full width of the cottage so kick back in one of our oversize rocking chairs with a book, enjoy a fire in the fire pit or relax in the warm hot tub. It will be hard to choose which spot to recline in with a glass of wine after a day of hiking, fishing, shopping or exploring!


GPS takes you to bottom of driveway, it is a sharp turn if driving from Grandfather Mountain and a steep driveway. It is paved with good traction if there is no snow/ice on the ground. Zig zag up the driveway, it is the first cottage on the right.

The spa tub is serviced regularly to provide a good condition for your arrival, however we cannot guarantee the condition.
