Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

The kitchen , dinning, living room and half bath is on the main floor. There is also a screen porch and a sun deck off the main living room.
Bedroom #1 is on the top floor, Queen bed, Tv, shared bath in hallway.
Bedroom #2 is on the top floor, King Bed, Tv, shared bath in hallway.
Bedroom #3 is on the terrace level, bunkbeds with 4 twin mattresses, full private bath, couch, arcade game, and a tv.

There are two "local" airports 1 in Andrews NC and the other in Blairsville GA.

Lake Chatuge is a TVA lake. The lake levels vary throughout the year. There is no water under dock From usually September -May. Please contact host to verify if dock can be used for your purpose.

* The house is located on a small cove, the house next door owns the small platform dock in front of this house. People
will potentially walk across the bottom end of the yard near the lake to get to that dock. Your dock is the big double
decker to the right side of the yard. Please respect the neighbors.
There is a camera on the tree looking at the entrance to the dock.
