Lots of space, steep driveway,l

Everyone had room to sleep well—even extra beds in case one needed it (snoring, family members who stay up late). Be careful with the steep driveway and camber. If anyone has bum knees or mobility issues, it can be tricky. The interior stairs have short treads and are quite narrow on the corner. It was fine, just have to take care. Hot tub was great. Watch for the large ants on the porch decks. They bite.

Retreat to Helen, Georgia

This house is well suited to accommodate 8 people within its four bedrooms. There are two additional beds in a loft but it is an opened area without privacy. Adequate number of bathrooms. There are 3 levels so guest must be able to handle stairs. All necessary amenities included. Very close to downtown Helen and to the Anna Ruby Falls. Best to initially access the property during daylight due to small and winding roads. Driveway is on a steep incline which I suspect could be treacherous during snow or ice storm. Driveway can easily hold 4 vehicles (as stated in the description) but later we were told only 3 vehicles were allowed. Overall a great place to stay and would recommend.

Beautiful house

My family really enjoyed our stay at this house. The layout is perfect for these types of gatherings. The bedrooms are spacious and each was connected, or close to, a private bathroom. So no one had to share. The kitchen was well equipped and the family area was comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch. The area was very quiet. The roads leading up to the house are quite curvy and the driveway is steep. So if you are more accustomed to a flat area, it can be a little challenging. But it is manageable.

30th Anniversary & 60th Birthday Celebrations

Lovely property. Amazing kitchen with lots of extras. Great dining table to accommodate our crowd. Very comfortable beds in all bedrooms. Enjoyed some hot tub time. Driveway was very steep. We recommend this beautiful places for a friends & family gathering.

Great House

The house and the property rental company was amazing, no complaints at all there. Super clean, stocked with everything we needed and expected, beautiful scenery. I think anyone who stay here won't be disappointed. The only downside I would say was that we felt at least one of the neighboring houses weren't very happy to be living next to a rental property as we were getting a lot of stares and were warned about talking outside on the porch in the evening. It wasn't a big deal at all, overall a great stay and I would recommend it.

Good but not great

We had a great time. The home was large enough for our group with enough very comfortable beds. We had 4 bathrooms that were all good except for one that was not properly sealed to the floor. That was scary. We didn’t locate the outdoor lights remote until the night before we checked out. We had no dishwashing liquid, no dishwasher pods, and no laundry detergent as was listed as available. The ice maker was not adequate but that may just be the volume of ice needed for our group. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Oktoberfest

This cabin and its location epitomize the name "Rest and Be Thankful". The home is located in a secure, gated community and is only 2 minutes from downtown Helen, The furnishings were extremely clean and well taken care of. The quality of the towels and linens were a few of the extras that went above & beyond expectations. The screened-in porch was also a treat in sitting outside bug-free. We found the home and its contents to be exactly as described and the communications with the property manager was excellent. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We highly recommend this property as we truly were thankful for the peace and quiet that allowed us to rest and recharge.

Amazing!

Everything about our stay at Rest and Be Thankful was perfect! The layout of the house allows for a lot of privacy, and everyone had their own bathroom. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the common area with the fireplace is so cozy! We also enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and Oktoberfesting. We enjoyed our stay very much and are already planning our next trip! Danke!

Beautiful House

All 8 of us thought the house was lovely and comfortable. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers on the screened in porch every afternoon. We would stay here again and definitely recommend this property.
