On the Hooch in HELEN Hot Tub Fireplace Dog Friendly Walk to all the fun!

Welcome to the ALPINE RIVER HAUS. It is directly on the Chattahoochee River in Helen. Cabin with hot tub on the back porch and fireplace and firepit! River access, fish from the backyard. IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR DOG, PLEASE MESSAGE US FIRST. DO NOT USE INSTANT BOOKING PLEASE. Dogs are approved on a case-by-case basis. Mo smoking property! Walk to restaurants, shops, the Hardman Trail and Waterpark. The primary suite is the entire upstairs of cabin with river views from the bedroom and bathroom (with jetted tub). Smart TV's in living room and both bedrooms. Upscale new appliances, new flooring, furnishings, lighting, paint and more upgrades coming. Peaceful back porch upstairs. Lower porch with seating gets you up close to the river.

The space
A walk through the Alpine River Haus. As you enter the front door you will have several options for hanging your coat, purse, hats etc. The main floor bedroom with queen bed is on your right. It has private access to the main floor bathroom. You also have a 43" Smart TV, chair, closet, ceiling fan and dresser for your needs. New cabin themed bedding. And the laundry closet and steps upstairs are on your left. Heading into the cabin the main level bathroom has an entrance from the hallway and the Queen bedroom.

The kitchen is on your left. Stocked with all the amenities you want, coffee maker, Keurig machine, electric teapot, blender, all cooking supplies, plenty of glasses, dishes etc. Little extras like spices, plastic wrap, foil etc. are stocked in this kitchen. (There is an owner's locked cabinet in the kitchen) Beautiful new lighting and new appliances compliment this kitchen. Counter stools are provided for guests who want to be where all the action is. Filtered water is available on the Fridge. Views of the river and the open floor concept in the living/dining/kitchen space will have you re-booking this cabin.

The dining area seats 4 comfortably at the table and 4 stools at the counter. And overlooks the back porch. The living room has multiple seating options. Including a 2 person recliner. Everyone has a view of the 58" screen Smart TV mounted above the Fireplace. Bring your passwords for your favorite streaming apps like Netflix etc. There is no cable or satellite TV connection. (There is a locked owner/cleaning closet in this room). For your convenience the end table next to the sofa has 2 USB ports in the flip top. Pull out drawer has 2 cup holders and remote holder. Again it's all about the river views from the living room. New furniture and a plush sofa throw will keep you cozy and relaxed. Take a nap, you're on vacation!

There are window screens in every room. Take advantage of the breezes and beautiful weather during your stay.

Heading out the back sliding glass door the peaceful sound of the river will be the first thing you notice. Make plans to enjoy the hot tub and spend a meal or two out on the porch. The gas grill is located downstairs off the carport for safety reasons.

Going back into the cabin, take the steps upstairs to relax in the spacious Primary suite. It's the entire upstairs of the cabin! A unique feature of this room is the loft overlook. You can view the goings on downstairs, the river or close the sliding barn doors for privacy. Plenty of room in the closet. For your convenience there is a USB plug on the left side nightstand outlet. Plenty of room to spread out. New bedding. And you can't miss the 50" Smart TV. The adjacent bathroom has a double vanity, hair dryer, plenty of room. There is no access for guests to the attic. The jacuzzi tub and separate shower unit finish off this room. And you can see the river from the window!
This property is a little bit wider than the actual house footprint. Follow the path around the side of the downstairs porch if you want to view the river up close. Respect other properties and stay on our property only.
The Fire Pit area is at the bottom of the steps. Charcoal grill set up here too!

All linens, sofa throws, quilts, towels, etc. are washed after each booking.
Please note this home is up on stilts. This is not a ground level home.

Guest access
Guests can park in the driveway or under the carport. There is a locked utility room on the carport for the owners use. On the side of the door is a light switch that turns on the lights for the carport, steps, and front upstairs porch. You can also turn it on/off in the house at the front hallway. Walk to wherever you want in Helen, the streets are lit at night too. You are about a 15-20 minute walk from the heart of Main St. Many restaurants and shops are closer along the river side of town. Beautiful walk to the Hardman Trail around the corner. The street dead ends up past our cabin. So not a lot of traffic.
