Grand View Lodge -New Listing With Room For The Family

McClaine Lake is a smaller 53 acre lake which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and cruising around but it's also connected to the Tiger Cat Flowage which is a 819 acre fully recreational lake and the Tiger Cat is great for skiing and motor sports as well as fishing. The navigable channel at the end of McClain Lake takes you to Upper Twin Lake, which is classified as class A musky waters, and is abundant with Musky, Perch, and Bluegill. The fishing is also pretty good right off our dock for bass and pan fish! This rental includes two large docks and a boat lift that guests can use while enjoying a relaxing time at our cabin (See the picture of the dock). The lake also has a resort nearby that you can boat to for food and drinks as well as to get gas for your boat.

The home itself is situated on a large flat lot with a stone path to the lake making for an easy walk down to the lake. There is also a large flagstone fire pit area with plenty of outdoor seating to sit back and enjoy star gazing at night or lake views during the day. There is even a screened in porch on the lower level with a dining table to eat dinner or play games while still enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

When your done exploring the lake, there is a lot to do in the area from our great local dining options to boutique shops, and activities like wineries, lumberjack shows and even go cart tracks. This full log cabin is in a great location only 15 minutes from downtown Hayward, and ten minutes from the Chequamegon National Forest. Grand View Log Cabin is perfect for retreats, family gatherings, romantic getaways, or simply a vacation with friends and/or family. There are several restaurants and bars nearby for you to enjoy so that you don't have to cook while on vacation.

The cabin is a full log home with an open floor plan and room for the whole family to enjoy.

Main Floor:
--Bedroom #1 Master Bedroom With King Bed and En-Suite
Upper Level:
--Loft Area with Full over Full Bunk Bed
--Bedroom #2 has a Queen Bed
--Bedroom #3 has a Queen Bed
Walk Out Lower Level:
--Bedroom #4 has a Queen Bed.
--Pull out Couch in Lower Level
Each Floor has a full bathroom as well.

The kitchen is well equipped to cook and serve meals for up to 12 guests including a high end induction range and double oven. For you coffee lovers, there is both a Keurig 12 cup drip machine and a single k-cup machine (actually a dual machine) and a coffee grinder.

The home features 3 sitting areas where you can spread out and relax. The walk out lower level has a comfy couch, some overstuffed chairs, a large flat screen TV and a large stone fireplace for you to enjoy. The main level has amazing views, a large deck, and a open floor plan between the kitchen and the dining and living room. The loft area has a TV, DVD player, kids books, and great lake views.

Added in 2022 - Starlink Satellite internet from Space X which is very fast. Come check it out.

During the summer months the owner provides 4 kayaks for guests to use. We have life jackets at the house in adult sizes but if you need small or extra small sizes or kids sizes please be sure to bring your own to ensure proper fit. Kayaks may not be used without life jackets. Children under 18 may not use the kayaks without adult supervision. There is also a fish cleaning table with a faucet that can be hooked up to the hose.

Dog Friendly but.... A Note About Dogs:
We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) Up to two dogs are allowed at this cabin with prior approval- an additional fee applies. That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog(s).

We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog(s):
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than bones;
*Like to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard), and/or;
*Use the house as a bathroom.

We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not (One large crate is available at the cabin). Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be, as we have had guests leave enough surprises for us), but PLEASE pick up after your dogs!! It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners. Sorry, no cats, please.

SEASONS
From Mid June through July and August we only accept bookings for full weeks (7 Nights) from Friday to Friday.
September and May & the first two weeks in June require a 3-night minimum stay
Birkie Ski Event also requires a 4 night minimum stay.

HOUSEKEEPING
The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized following our local health department's Covid cleaning protocols between each guests. We supply paper towel, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap and dish washer soap as well as all bedding for the beds. The cabin also has a full size washer/dryer on main level. Bed linens, professionally cleaned at a commercial laundry between guests.

This home is professionally managed by Manage Cabins, LLC in Hayward and we are available 24/7 via phone or text if you need anything. This listing may be new but we are premier hosts and take great care of our guests. We have hundreds of 5 star reviews across the different online booking portals.
