Welcome to Wally`s Matchbox. This place is perfect for couples or a very small family. The location is considered the best around the lake. Located right down the street from downtown Hawley, a short drive to Honesdale, restaurants, groceries, and breweries. Come enjoy hanging out on the covered deck, the patio with a nice fire, or take a drive to do a local memorable activity.

Lets get funky! This small matchbox is meshed with modern luxury and flare. This newly renovated pad is named after Wallenpaupack`s Nickname `Wally`.

You approach the front with a covered porch that has wicker seating around it to enjoy a nice afternoon shower protected. If your lucky in the correct season you might get a slight lake view in the distance. On the side yard is a picnic table to enjoy a nice outdoor meal next to a nice firepit with comfortable Adirondack chairs. Just below, on the lower patio is a grill (Propane provides), and a 4-Person hot tub under beautiful Edison lights above.

Once inside, guests will find a brand new fully equipped kitchen ready for any cooking they plan to do. Updated Stainless Appliances including a dishwasher and Ice/Filtered drinking water are there for your comfort. Countertop are enriched by a beautiful quartz stone top. The living room adjacent to the kitchen includes a 55` TV with Roku enabled. Below that is an easy to use electric fireplace. On the built in bar guests will find a getaway guide which includes comprehensive information on the property and local area. The entire area is graced buy a brand new Mini-Split HVAC system to provide both AC and heat.

Aside the main room is full bathroom with a sliding glass shower and a beautiful custom shower, massive vanity and a recessed toilet. From the main room if you take the spiral stairs up you will enter the small loft. This holds a Twin bed trundle. Note it is very tight and short and should only be used for small children. The loft also has it`s own mini-split for heat/AC. The master bedroom below holds a Queen bed with a small closet. The master bedroom also has it`s own dedicated mini-split HVAC system.

* Your booking included sheets, pillows (2 per guest), towels (1 per guest), wash clothes (1 per guest), 2 hand towels, toiletries (body wash, shampoo, and conditioner), and some basic supplies (Dish Soap, 2 dishwasher tablets, 2 trash bags, 2 paper towels, 2 toilet paper rolls, and hand soap) to get your stay started.

*We do not provide firewood, but 7 blocks away is a self service station with wood for sale provided by a local company (Cash or electronic payment).

*There is no lake access with the property. You must use the public beach 5 minutes away or the public Launch.

*Please note there is a $75 one-time dog fee which allows you to bring up to 2 dogs onto the property during your trip. We are dog lovers but ask that you keep your furry friends off the furniture and clean up after them for the sake of other renters. Waste bags provided from dispenser in backyard. Add your dogs to the reservation for the dog fee to be applied please. We are only Dog friendly and do not allow other pets.

There is no lake access with the property. If you want to swim in the lake you must use the public beach 5 minutes away (MDW - LDW). For launching boats/Kayaks you can use the public Launch (1.5 miles away).

The neighborhood is walking friendly. Feel free to walk around 6th street and Paupack Point Road with your four-Legged friends. There is no Street Parking we have a rock driveway. The driveway can accommodate a maximum of 2 vehicles.

As an avid Airbnb renter myself I know the importance of privacy, yet knowing the owner is available at a moments notice if any issues were to arise. Because of this, transparency is key for our guests to have the absolute best experience possible. Our goal is to have a 5 start stay with each booking. With each booking there will be contactless access to the property with a digital keycode. A digital guidebook will be provided prior to the stay as well as a paper copy of the same guidebook on the coffee table. Everything will be explained in this guidebook for an easy yet rewarding experience for the guests. Should anything else arise I will be available through messaging and will be able to provide responses promptly. We take great pride in making the stay as easy as possible, and have done our best to make the property as user friendly and accommodating as possible during the recent renovations

**No RWD vehicles in winter months due to small hill on entrance to street and no alternative parking. Road/Driveway/Sidewalk snow does get plowed and maintained if over 3` but timing depends on storms. AWD/4WD is required in winter months if attending during snowstorms, there is no parking anywhere besides the house to leave a vehicle if you can not make it up the street, it will be towed as all private property. No refunds will be given if you can not make it to the property because of a vehicle. **
