The Space:
Our vintage and cozy cottage is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families, or groups of friends. Cherrywood Haven is the perfect combination of hideaway and Harpers Ferry getaway!

The cabin includes:
- Two bedrooms - each with a queen bed - plus a pull-out sofa in the living room
- A spacious, furnished enclosed porch, perfect for relaxing with good friends or a good book
- Fast, reliable WiFi that's more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls
- Well-appointed kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave and all the tools you need to prepare tasty meals
- Covered outdoor entertainment area with bubbly hot tub and ambience lighting

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly! Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

Note: We're currently in the process of renovating the basement, and it's unfortunately not available to guests. All the main living areas, both bedrooms, bathroom, and all listed amenities in the description are all still accessible -- and there will be no construction being done during your stay. We just wanted to make sure you're aware!

Please be aware that the fireplace is not currently (12/13) operational, but we've already ordered a replacement and expect it to be up and running soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Beyond the cabin itself, the Harpers Ferry area is great for so many reasons -- and Cherrywood Haven is just a short drive to everything. Take in Civil War history in downtown historic Harpers Ferry, float down the Shenandoah River, go hiking in the woods, or explore the local wineries, breweries, and fantastic restaurants our area has to offer!

Very nice cabin

Cabin was very clean and well kept. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life this is the cabin for you.

Long weekend getaway

This property was a quiet and clean place to relax at the beginning of spring break. The hot tub was a big draw and it did not disappoint. A few more mirrors in the bedroom for those of us that have to blow dry our hair, and the place is perfect!

WEEKEND RETREAT

A cute home is in the woods. It has a huge covered grilling and hot tub area with a picnic table nearby. We wanted a quiet weekend away, and this home did not disappoint. Watch out for the bugs, bring bug spray! I was delighted that DoorDash is available here, so they delivered my forgotten items.

Lovely, secluded cabin

If you're looking for a Taj Mahal, this ain't it. What this is is a cozy quaint getaway in the woods. I loved all the windows for listening to the birds in the morning. The cabin was perfect for our girls getaway. The host was very responsive & everything was in working order.Just down the road is a quaint beach that we pretty much had to ourselves & a restaurant where we conveniently had dinner after our day in the sun. modern day tajmagal

Location was good. But the house needs some updates and a good cleaning. The tub is clogged. The sofa had odor. Too much clutter for dog friendly house. However, we did appreciate our stay.

Home differed slightly from photos rugs were not included and house paint colors are different than what's listed on VRBO. Great scenery and wildlife views. Some small issues with cleanliness in the bathroom upon arrival. Noisy neighborhood (dogs barking, lots of loud trucks and 4-wheelers tearing up the gravel road outside). Grooves in gravel road + driveway not easy for a small car or sedan to get through. I would recommend outdoor lighting by the porch entry. Was difficult to navigate walking outside at night without a phone light.

Absolutely awful, the worst experience we have ever had with a VRBO property. Less than 24 hours after our arrival, hundreds of bugs started pouring from a hole in the ceiling. We were at first concerned they were termites but were told via text that they were just winged ants. Regardless of the type of bug, we were told that the handyman was out of town so there was nothing they could do until the next day. No apology offered, no help offered, nothing. My husband and I had to go out, purchase bug killer, and spent hours trying to rid the house of the bugs that had traveled throughout (and were in the bed sheets!). The only reason we stayed an additional night was faulty advice from VRBO rep who told us we had to give the property 24 hours to respond to get a refund.Almost a day after reaching out to the owners - still no handyman, still bugs in the house, we packed up and left. No refund and my husbands birthday trip absolutely ruined. We took more videos than photos, but zoom in on the pictures included. This was AFTER hours of cleaning. Do NOT waste your money on this awful experience.
