Le Salty Unicorn est un tout nouveau chalet situé à Gulf Shores à seulement un pùté de maisons de la plage dans la nouvelle subdivision Eastside Cottage. Il a cédé l'accÚs à la plage et est facilement accessible par un passage pour piétons. Ce chalet fait face à la plage et bien qu'il ne soit pas directement sur la plage, a une vue magnifique sur East Beach Blvd depuis votre balcon et vous pouvez voir le golfe entre les condos. Il y a aussi une vue magnifique sur le Gulf State Park et le lac Shelby directement derriÚre le chalet.

Perfect Place and Location

My grand daughter and my wife and I absolutely loved the Salty Unicorn. Accommodations were impeccable, very clean, beds were comfortable along with a tiled shower in Master. We walked to several restaurants and to the beach! You can park next to the front door, easy unloading. And allowing r pooch to come as well. You cannot go wrong rent this unit. Thank you for sharing your place.

Amazing Runaway Weekend

It is very comfortable and accessible for many fun places. The access to the beach is easy and close. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. My family enjoyed eating at Sunliner, they love getting in the pool and have some fun at the beach. The restaurants near are tasty definitely 5/5. The house provides with everything you need. I definitely recommend this place for anyone. The coupons/free passes are definitely great especially with a big family lol. Next time we come to this place will definitely be our first option.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at the Salty Unicorn! The home was clean, comfortable, and just perfect! The location was close to everything, and the beach was just a short walk away. The view was spectacular! We will definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Gulf Shores spring break week

Nice two-story beach house with community pool. Located very close to all the shops and restaurants that you want to go to. A 7 to 10 minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed going to beach and relaxing by pool and eating at all the great seafood places near by.

Beautiful Villa in a great location

This Pet friendly Villa is perfect. Great location close to everything. A very short walk (about 5 minutes) to the beach as well as restaurants, shops and walking trails. Newer, clean and well maintained with a very nice outdoor pool area. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is in this Villa. We stayed from 1/1/22-3/5/22 and loved it so much we already booked for next year!

The pictures are accurate to exactly what you can expect . It’s close to everything. We had an issue with the disposal and they were easy to get a hold of , extremely nice and quick to respond. My only concerns were the shower didn’t seem like it had been cleaned throughly and I recommend a leather couch . The current couch was cloth and dirty and worn out .

Great location and amenities

The house is nicely decorated and already had alot of the items we brought with us for the beach (wagon, chairs, boogie boards, floats, charcoal). It would have been great if these were on the listing and a grill would have been nice to have. We had to buy one. The beds were very comfortable but did not have a mattress protector/pad on them which was a little strange but again they were so comfortable. The walk to the beach was very convenient. We did not get to use the pool since it was cloudy and dirty the first few days and they had to replace the sand filter our last day there. The fridge was not getting cold 4 hours after we arrived and put food in it so I called the manager and was told it would take up to 12 hours to cool down. We ended up buying dry ice and put it in the fridge so we wouldn't lose $100 worth of food. We don't know if it cooled on it's own or if it was cold from the dry ice. I've never heard of a fridge taking 12 hours to cool. Although there were a few things that could be improved, overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Family spring break in Gulf Shores

We will 100% stay at the Salty Unicorn again! I am usually nervous when booking a vacation rental, and the Salty Unicorn exceeded expectations. The property was clean and exactly as pictured/described. It was close to the beach (3 blocks/10 min walk at most) and our kids loved the pool as well (while the pool was very cold, it didn’t stop them from going swimming in it everyday)!

Everything was as advertised. Great location and nice amenities. Great beach amenities for use. Chairs, nice wagon, toys, etc. Only neg was it looked like the cleaning was rushed. Several empty cans laying around, a nasty cleaning rag on a table and so forth. We cleaned over everything anyway. Also as noted, master bedroom could really use some blackout curtains. Other than that. Would stay here again.

Very nice (new?) place, but pretty “hilly.” Like it a lot, but would make it even better: * 1. Instructions for the thee different brands of tv’s and a list of channels for the two which have none. Instructions for dish washer would be “nice, also * 2. A way to get more heat to the second (living) floor 3. More basic items for the kitchen, e.g. sink dish drainer. We’ll leave the one we purchased. 4.More nearly complete list of what’s present, e.g. KEURIG Coffee Maker. The beach paraphernalia is a nice touch. Overall, it’s a livable, well maintained and likeable place. The centerpiece pool is beautiful. Having the water heated would make it useable. We felt right at home with the unusual and varied sounds the refrigerator makes. The responsiveness of a pleasant staff is also a big plus! Location is still another. Salty Unicorn rules!

Great stay at the Salty Unicorn

This was a much needed vacation in the midst of Covid-19. The unit was exactly as listed. We did get a call about the unit not being ready at 4pm check in. But guaranteed 5pm. After a 15 hour drive from Iowa we all wanted to take a shower and relax. We arrived at 5pm and they were still cleaning. The 2 cleaning staff were nice and let us start bringing in our luggage. They were still there until close to 530pm. We know they did not arrive to clean until after 3pm because we did a drive by. Another minor issue when we arrived, there was a brush fire in the adjacent park to the west. We were advised by the fire dept representative that we should be prepared to evacuate. Fortunately they got the fire under control. Otherwise, we had a great vacation. The beach was a 3 block walk. The unit had a wagon and some beach chairs to use. The beach was less crowded if you went further West away from the beach access walkways. We used the pool which is shared with 8 units but it was never crowded. The pool water was too warm but it was August and 90 degrees air temperature. Not sure how they would keep it cooler. We used the kitchen to do some basic cooking. I would recommend having a crockpot available. Restaurants were open and limited seating due to Covid-19 and staff wore masks. Many shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Dollar General is 3 blocks away and had everything you could possibly need. We took advantage of the iTrip options and did the Zeke’s Lady Deep Sea fishing trip. Loved it! Thanks for the great trip.

She’s a beaut!

We came for my bachelorette trip in early July and We stayed for 3 nights. This house was exactly the house that we picked out online. The listing was accurate and the pictures don’t do it justice. This place is incredible! It is a 10 minute walk from the door to the water at the beach. Not a bad walk at all! The only downfall and complaints that I have is 1: there was literally NOTHING extra. There was 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom (with 5 girls, that did not last long). There were not any extra trash bags to be found in the entire house. 2: when we got there, the fridge and oven were not working so we called the office. They sent maintenance to look at it. He said that everything was working fine. We then tried to use the oven and it, in fact, did not work. All this being said, you need to go to the store prior to arriving to get toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.. As for the oven, let’s just hope it is fixed when you visit. other than those two things, we absolutely loved this place! The staff was even awesome to work with!
