Somewhere in Sand 2 is a pet-friendly beachfront luxury home by Harris Vacations! Somewhere in Sand 2 features 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and a private pool. This direct beachfront home is located in the desirable area of West Beach and features premium amenities such as an elevator with access to the 1st and 2nd floor, a private pool, a chef's kitchen, and a beautiful pool deck with access to the beach!  Somewhere in Sand 1 is located next door, and both homes can be rented together to accommodate up to 36 guests. Both homes have the same floor plans, amenities, and décor. These properties are perfect for larger groups needing extra space. Somewhere in Sand 2 is a fabulous vacation home for a reunion, a multi-family vacation, or a group retreat. Be one of the first to enjoy this spectacular home!

About Somewhere in Sand 2

Standing tall in the popular West Beach area of Gulf Shores stands Somewhere in Sand 2. This stunning direct beachfront home features a host of lavish amenities for guests to enjoy. The main level Gulf front deck features a private pool that can be heated during the cooler months. There is also a table to enjoy outdoor meals and beverages, and access to the beach from the private dune walk.

Inside this new home is equally as stunning, with Gulf views from nearly every window and door. All of the common living spaces are found on the main living level, as well as a convenient powder room. The gorgeous chef’s kitchen features beautiful countertops, backsplash, cabinets, and stainless appliances. There is a walk-in pantry for additional storage, plus an icemaker and a second refrigerator. Enjoy dinner with a view, play games, or put together a puzzle at 1 of the 2 dining tables. Also on this level are 2 comfortable living areas and a cute little window seat.

Guests can navigate to the first and second floors with ease thanks to the elevator. On the second floor, which features 3 of the bedrooms and 1 of the laundry closets, guests will love an additional living area complete with a TV and access to the second-floor balcony. The master bedroom is found here with a king bed, Gulf Views, balcony access, and a private bathroom. Bedroom #2 sleeps 4 in a king bed plus 2 twin built-in bunks. Bedroom #2 also has a TV and a private bathroom. Bedroom #3 sleeps 2 in a queen bed and has a TV and a private bathroom.

Four additional bedrooms plus another laundry closet are found on the third floor, accessible by stairs. Bedrooms #4 and #5 feature Gulf views, balcony access, TVs, and private bathrooms. Bedroom #4 has a queen bed, and bedroom #5 has a king. Bedroom #6 sleeps 4 in a king bed plus 2 twin built-in bunks. A TV and a private bathroom can be found in bedroom #6. Bedroom #7 has a king bed, TV, and a private bathroom.

The home is stunning and a perfect spot for a large group. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook for a crowd and for the first time we were able to seat everyone at the dining room tables - yes TABLES - at each meal. The view from the living area and bedrooms to the beach is stunning and the heated plunge pool is a lovely and unexpected amenity. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this location was for our family Christmas trip. I'm waiting to finalize the date and then planning to book it again if it's available - it's THAT great!!!

Great kitchen but cooktop did not work and was not repaired during the stay. I reported this the morning after we arrived. We were brought electric camping eyes but not until the last day. A repairman did come, but not until the day before we left. He said this had been an issue before. He thought perhaps the propane was low "again". No repair was done.Beds were not comfortable. Unfortunate because it was a nice location and nice house.

We had three generations of our family staying in this beautiful home. Everybody had a fantastic time. So nice having large private bathrooms to go with all of the lovely large bedrooms. Everyone complimented the bedding. It was great having washer and dryers on each bedroom level. Having that huge walk-in pantry (room) with a shelving unit, extra refrigerator and icemaker was certainly a plus and the kitchen was well stocked and there was more than adequate seating for 13 of us that stayed there for over a week. The two tables with combined 16 chairs were perfect for games every day. We were surprised that what looked like a small pool on the deck was used every single day by adults and our two year old grandson. The ease of walking out to the sand and waves was awesome. From all three balconies you definitely got the benefit of hearing the ocean. The ground floor room was roomy and great for storing beach stuff. The elevator was extra large and a must for carrying up luggage and groceries. A note that it only goes up to the 3rd floor so you do have to walk up one flight

had no complaints! The first day there were a couple of minor things I wanted addressed and maintenance came within the hour. I had a representative that answered within minutes or even seconds of texting her. She also gave us outstanding recommendations for places to eat! Our last lunch at Cobalts was declared best fish of the whole trip!I highly recommended Harris Properties!

Our family loved staying in this beach house. The views from the balconies were amazing and just an easy walk down the board walk to the beach. We had a family reunion with a wide range of ranges. The elevator was a nice help to my aunt with Parkinson's. Every bedroom having it's own bathroom was fantastic for the family getting cleaned up after the beach. And having a washer and dryer on each level of the bedrooms was very helpful. And whenever they weren't in the ocean the kids loved spending time playing in the little pool. The butler's pantry with the second refrigerator and the ice machine was a especially helpful for supporting our large family meals. The Harris team was great to work with, especially when lightning struck the condos across the street and knocked out our WiFi.If you have a large family gathering that allows you to divide the cost of the home this place is a great choice.

Amazing

The house and locations couldn't be better. Right on the beach, views are incredible, deck furniture is plentiful. There was not a speck of dust in the house, spotless. Beds are comfortable and TVs in every bedroom. Lots of space for everyone to have their own area for work or play. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cookware, etc. We found it a little odd that there were no beach towels or beach chairs given that this is a beach house, but there are plenty of places nearby to purchase them. Still... The kitchen has absolutely nothing it, foils, bags, salt & pepper, nothing, so plan on bringing everything and anything you might need. They start you off with one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and a couple of garbage bags, so plan on a shopping trip for staples. Regardless of those few things, we had a wonderful stay and hope to return soon.

Great Family Getaway

Great location and fabulous house. They have all the amenities you’ll need for an awesome beach vacation. We had age ranges from 2-67 and everyone loved this house. The beds were comfortable, house was clean and decorated well, and you can’t beat being right on the beach. The only issue we had was the pool being cold the first 2 days, but the property manager stayed in contact and got the issue resolved.

Perfect Beach House

The listing for this house sold me, but it was even better in person! Clean, spacious & great location. Check in was a breeze and communication with the host was great throughout our stay. The elevator was a nice bonus when it came to unloading luggage. The views were beautiful from all three levels. Every bedroom had its own bathroom. Beds were super comfortable. This house had TWO sets of washers and dryers, an ice maker & tons of extras to make us feel at home. Decor was classy. We were able to bring our pup along which was a bonus. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. I highly recommend this rental & we hope to visit again during the summer.

Wonderful stay

The age range for family was 70 to 7 months. The size was 11 people. The house was right on beach and looked exactly like the pictures. The elevator came in handy for all the bags and groceries. The house in close location to activities but far enough to enjoy the beach and quietness. The kitchen was fully equipped. Every room had its own bathroom. The pool was warm. The property manager texted faithfully checking on the anything I may need and responded promptly to any questions.

Thanksgiving trip

Our trip started off a little rocky but the staff got everything top notch. The layout and beauty of this house was perfect! The views were exceptional! Our family enjoyed out time together, walking on the beach, swimming in the pool, and the kitchen was perfect for feeding our large family! We are planning our next stay!

Our family stay at Somewhere In Sand 2 was one of the best trips our family has ever had to the beach! We loved having so much space! The entire house was very clean and tidy for our arrival. The elevator made unpacking and packing so easy! The proximity to the beach was priceless. Washer and dryer on both levels was superb! Location was also perfect- not far from restaurants and activities for the kiddos! I could go on and on with all the special amenities this place offered! Already planning our trip for next year :)

Overall-Awesome

The property overall was super nice. There a few things I made note of in case we stay here again to better prepare for our stay. There were no hair dryers in any of the bathrooms, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes but not cookware. Only 3 pots and they were small, 2 cooking spoons and one was melted pretty badly, and the quality of the cookware was not made for preparing meals. The only other thing I felt should be better planned is the pool cleaning staff showing up mid day while we were all there. We did have to call maintenance after hours because we were locked out due to low batteries in the main door lock, which also could be avoided by simply putting 2 new batteries a month maybe. However they did respond super quickly. In saying all of that, the house was practically brand new and decorated beautifully. I would stay again but just bring more from home.

Amazing Time!

The place was clean, beautiful, & the perfect size for our group. The pool was larger than we expected! They communicated well & came to maintain the property during our stay without being invasive. The elevator was great & not scary like they often are in small buildings, but it does not go to the 3rd floor. The kitchen was well stocked with tools, pots, & dishes but didn’t have any basics like salt or oil, so just be prepared when getting groceries. The beach access was easy & the showers were perfect. We would love to stay again.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay in Gulf Shores. The house was very clean and worked well for 14 people. The kitchen was adequately stocked but could certainly have more for the number of people who can stay there. It would be nice for it to have all the needed supplies for coffee for the first morning—there weren’t any coffee filters and the coffee maker doesn’t work without them. More dish towels needed—unless you want to wash after every meal. The outdoor cooker is dreadful. It had propane but the connection had a leak and we didn’t feel it was safe to use—plus—the grates were caked with gunk. The beach was beautiful and the little pool was a big hit. Overall we were pleased and had a great trip.

Absolutely wonderful

We definitely want to rent this property again in the future. We loved everything about it! While its particular location on the beach was my favorite part, the house itself is spectacular — well-built and beautifully-designed, with impressive yet comfortable furnishings.
