Here Comes the Sun at The Rookery III, Pet Friendly!

Here Comes the Sun is the perfect place to vacation with friends and family in peaceful Fort Morgan. Located just 20 minutes west of Gulf Shores, nestled in the heart of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, the cottage is close enough to all the fun, yet far enough away for peace and quiet.

This adorable cottage is decorated in calm and comfortable coastal decor. The living room features two leather sofas and a recliner perfect for watching the 65 inch 4K Smart TV. There are board games, playing cards, and puzzles for entertainment. The dining room comfortably seats 6 at the table with 2 additional seats at the bar. The kitchen is fully stocked for preparing family meals. Kitchen includes stainless appliances, toaster, Keurig (k-cup/drip combo) coffee maker, blender, and crockpot. All items needed for cooking and serving are provided. There is a large pantry for storage and laundry area with full size washer and dryer.

The Master bedroom features a king size bed, 43 inch 4K, smart TV, large closet, and private bathroom that includes a tub/shower combo. Second bedroom includes a queen size bed, 36 inch 4K, smart TV, and a large closet. Third bedroom includes two full size beds, smart TV, and direct access to shared bathroom.
The screened porch is perfect for relaxing or reading your favorite book. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing your feet and beach gear after a fun day on the water.

*Pets: This property is pet friendly! You are welcome to bring up to two pets during your vacation, however there is a $125 per pet fee. You will be provided with leash covers that must be visible at all times. Any damages caused by your pet or any fines incurred involving your pets will be your responsibility. Failure to follow the pet rules will result in being fined and/or evicted.
*Parking: This complex offers on site parking for up to 2 vehicles for $60. Your vehicle must have a parking pass filled out completely and displayed in vehicle at all times to avoid being towed. The two vehicle limit is strictly enforced and you are subject to fines if you bring more than the two allowed vehicles. Trailer/motorhome parking is prohibited.

*This property is located 1 mile from the public beach access parking lot. The association allows renters to rent golf carts from their approved vendors: Looks Good from Here, LLC; Island Carts, LLC; and Coastal Golf Cart Rental, LLC. Personal golf carts are prohibited.

Area attractions include the Historic Fort Morgan site, Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, Dauphin Island Ferry, OWA, The Wharf, The Hangout, Kiva Dunes Golf Course, The Peninsula Golf Course. You can also enjoy fishing charters, biking, hiking, and kayaking all close by.

Our family had a great stay at Here Comes the Sun!The host was very welcoming and had great communication for check-in and check-out. We needed to extend our stay and the host was very accommodating and responsive. The cottage was perfect for our needs - beautifully decorated, very clean, close to the beach, and pet friendly. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Here Comes the Sun if you are looking for a beach vacation in a laid back community!

Nice little house. It was a quiet subdivision. Easy access. Close to the public beach, Fort Morgan, Tacky Jacks. Clean inside and out. Nice communication with the owner. Fair prices. Will definitely go back.

The house was in great location
conveniently located close enough to go into Gulf Shores, but far enough away to enjoy quiet and less crowding. We absolutely loved that we could take our dog on the beach with us for our evening beach walks. Tacky Jacks allows dogs on the patio, which was great while we waited for our unit to be ready for checkin. That is also a nice place to watch the sun rise
.beautiful view. Highly recommend getting a golf cart, that was definitely worth it! I loved having the screened in porch to sit outside and read and not be worried about bug bites. Also, highly recommend Jesse’s on the Bay for dinner, but make a reservation. Stunning views from the patio and back part of the restaurant. Honestly, there are plenty of local food options that were great, and didn’t require us to get in all the traffic and chaos at Gulf Shores. We really enjoyed this cottage and the community.

Perfect getaway

Here comes the sun ☀ is the perfect location for a nice getaway. Very clean, beds are comfortable and any and every kitchen thing you will need. Host is very quick to respond and I wish more rentals were like this place. No complaints at all, we will definitely be back!

The "PERFECT" Beach house!!

Our trip was the week of May 19. Weather was amazing. This house was amazing. Cleanest we have ever stayed at. Everything was well thought out. Lots of room for our party of 5 and little fur baby. We are booking again as we leave. There is no grill... not a problem we just packed a weber but everything and I do mean everything could not have been better. Owners were very accomidating. Quiet, secluded, and relaxing

Amy is a wonderful host, responsive to all our questions. The property is in a very quiet community set in the wildlife refuge. The home is a very coze and relaxing place to use as home base during your vacation. It is fully provisioned and has many thoughtful little touches like tabletop outlets/USB ports in the living room and bedrooms. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Epitome of relaxation

There couldn't be a more perfect little property to escape to! So glad that we were able to stay at Amy's property! It made for the perfect trip. From the booking/ payments/ communication/ coordination - Amy was prompt in responding and made sure that we had all our questions answered ahead of our trip. She couldn't have made the process any easier! The property itself was just the perfect spot. Quiet and relaxing... plenty of room for 4 guests and 2 pets.. with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and ready for us when we got there! The location, in my mind, cannot be beat for someone who wants a quite place, easy beach access (both bay and gulf), plenty of fishing spots, and great pools for outdoor fun. Already looking forward to my next trip back!

Amazing Vacation Rental

We had such a great stay here. The place is beautiful, close to the pool, and a short drive to the public beach. Amy was a wonderful host and replied to messages in a timely manner. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the beach.

Great Beach Cottage

We enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at the beach. The cottage was clean and well kept. Listing was accurate and community was nice. We did rent a golf cart to drive to the beach and feel like this was a good choice. I love the cottage and beach are pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed as well. We would definitely stay here again.

The best experience

Leaving a 5 star review seems so underwhelming, this property and this host deserves so many more than that. First, the pictures simply do not do this house justice. It was beyond gorgeous. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the size, as it felt much bigger than the pictures made it look. The beds
 THE BEDS! SO comfortable. I cannot tell you the last time that I slept so well. Every room had a smart tv with every streaming app, which was cool, but we didn’t spend much time watching tv. The screened in porch was one of our favorite features. We enjoyed sitting outside each evening with a cup of tea, and our kids got a thrill out of all the cute little frogs and lizards that we saw up close! This house is SUPER close to one of the pools, which was very convenient for the days that we weren’t able to swim in the ocean with the rip currents. On that note, the beach access is close by, you can walk it with ease, or drive. The host was an excellent communicator. We did need to make one communication during our stay, and she replied almost immediately. In the days leading up to our trip, she replied frequently, and answered all of our questions, so we felt well prepared for our trip down. If you’re looking for a clean, beautiful, comfortable, amazing experience for a fun family trip, BOOK THIS PROPERTY!
