We didn’t get what we paid for. Two of the burners on the stove didn’t work. There were Gnats in the unit. The Sheets were too small for the bed cuz they kept coming off. The bedroom downstairs had trash on the floor around the chest of drawers. Glad we brought our own coffee maker and other things. it was Convenient to the beach. The tables were Sticky and the floors were too.

Location is great. I slept terribly because the fitted sheet downstairs doesn't stay on and i woke up a lot stuck to plastic. Otherwise great. Stayed last year too.

Location - Relaxing - Beautiful!

The Location was perfect! Right on the beach and across the street from a restaurant, ice cream shop and a market. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The beach was relaxing, beautiful and felt very private. Just a few steps from the house to the beach! Highly recommend. We would definitely stay there again.

Little beach getaway

The house is cute with the perfect location. The bedroom set up worked well for us. The furniture has been updated from what is shown in the pictures so that was a nice surprise. Could use a fresh coat of paint and some tiles are cracked but overall it was very clean

furnace filter never checked or cleaned!

Location was awesome! Didn’t say it was a duplex! After I had already booked for week I read the reviews! The mattress in the loft are severely stained with looked like blood and urine! There were no blankets and only had a thin sheet like spread over each bed! Thank goodness I packed a few! Did have issues with few roaches which they did come and sprayed the day before our last day! Nails were coming up thru carpet on the stairs to loft! I tried hammering them down! Didn’t seem to work! The first day had to remove furnace filter which was covered with dust and had been sucked inward so it ran without filter! That bedroom’s ceiling fan covered with dust
 probably wouldn’t there stay again for what I paid!

Perfect Home on The BEACH!

Walk right off the deck into the sand to the water! It was perfect. Sweet Alabama is well stocked in the kitchen, plenty of towels, the AC works great! The deck has two tables with chairs, plenty of seating. Across the street are two restaurants, a store and ice cream parlor! We had a great time with your family. 6 adults and one child (12) stayed comfortably. Gigi & Granddaddy!

Great beach stay

My husband and I really enjoyed being able to step out the back door and onto the beach! It was more house than we need for the two of us but we really enjoyed the location. We were able to walk across the street to a restaurant and small grocery and liquor store. We even took a longer walk down to Bahama Bobs and walked the beach back. I’m ready to book it again!

Birthday Trip

It was great being right on the beach. The only problem we had was there was no tv remote in the master bedroom and it took two days and several phone calls to get one. Otherwise it was a wonderful, relaxing trip.

Home needs updating

We love Gulf Shores!!!! But the home we chose was a bit lacking. This is not one house, it is a duplex which the description in VRBO did not disclose. Master suite is upstairs and very spacious with a beautiful view but does not have its own bathroom. It is a jack and Jill style layout which shares with the 2nd bedroom upstairs. Bedroom downstairs off the kitchen is terribly small with an extremely small bathroom and would probably be better suited with a twin bed. Upon arriving, there were wet towels in front of the sliding glass door down stairs due to leaking from a storm that had blown in earlier and floor fans were blowing upstairs to dry out the carpet and the air conditioning was not working. Both were reported and someone came out the next day to address the issues. Both sliding glass doors had recently been replaced but not sealed which was causing the leakage. We were told the air conditioner was fixed however we had to report it again the next day. I spoke with, Wesley, with the Vascasa, who was extremely helpful and had someone out quickly to replace the condenser on the air conditioner. I also spoke with the property manager a couple of times who was very helpful and courteous as well. We were compensated for the inconvenience with a free nights stay and a gift card to Bahama Bobs. Parking was also an issue when we first arrived as the tenants staying in the other side of the home did not adhere to the three car rule. They had five cars which took up the majority of the parking. Oh and the outside trash receptacles were packed. Again, we love Gulf Shores but until some upgrades are made to this little home, we will look elsewhere for accommodations.
