Great stay

Overall this was a great stay for me. It was like vacationing in Fort Knox. Security everywhere which can be a pro/con. If you are worried about safety. You would definitely feel safe here. Apartment was great with central air, King bed, washer/dryer, and hot shower w/shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. Bedroom had extra linen, blankets, and towels. Kitchen had utensils, dishware, microwave, blender, and coffee maker. They had water jug with pump for cooking and drinking. Big balcony with dining table and sofa. Great location on the second floor to see the pool, beach, and the restaurant. Cons: No broom or mop for the renters in order to keep clean. I would like to see Smart TV in the bedrooms because most people don't watch cable but Netflix and YouTube. This was my first time in Juan doliĂł. I'm usually driving to bĂĄvaro but I'm definitely coming back to the Marbella

The View is Amazing!

My family of 5 stayed here this past week. The view of the Caribbean Sea cannot be beat! The beach and grounds were clean, well manicured, and secure. It never felt crowded and we always were able to get as many lounge chairs as needed. The pools are huge, and no one is in them, so my kids enjoyed hopping between the pool and beach. The space in the unit is ideal and was plenty big for our family. They have most amenities you could need while you stay with them. The best part is the large balcony that is furnished for having a meal outside or hanging out on the outdoor sectional. It is very convenient to have a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. Overall the unit is clean and well kept. There were a couple of small fixes that could be made, but nothing that would deter me from staying with this company or at this unit again! Giulia’s Cafe across the street was the perfect breakfast spot each morning before we hit the beach. The Meson Espana down the way was the best dinner we had while there. There are a few small super markets to grab essentials and there is an atm to get Dominican pesos for local tips in a shop across from tower 1. The check in process was off putting, but not this units fault. They have thorough security, which is great, but the area they bring you to sign in is tiny, has no windows, and was dirty and run down
the total opposite from the rest of the property. It didn’t make a good first impression, but everything after that was much better. The restaurant on site seems to be out of commission except for drinks, so save yourself time and just go order takeout from one of the restaurants that are close to bring back. Overall, 5 stars because of the space and the view! My family all agrees we will be back!

My wife and I just finished having a fantastic time at Marbella thanks to Karina and Carlos @ Marbella Vacation Rentals! We rented two units because we invited family so we’re posting this same review under both units. BTW, the photos are accurate and the units are more breathtaking in person. The views are awesome! First
 since being under COVID in the US for months, we were dying to get back to the DR. We wanted to also visit family in Santo Domingo (SD) so chose Juan Dolio which is the closest nice beach to SD. For those who may be looking at Juan Dolio for the first time, it doesn’t get nicer than Marbella. They are private residences in a beautiful complex – 2 huge (and I do mean HUGE) pools, a children’s play set and a beautiful beach. If you have kids you’re covered from little ones to teenagers. Great food right on premise and the complex has 24x7 visible security to put you at ease. The complex and individual units are modern and full of light and each features a large balcony overlooking the ocean. There is no “bad unit” or less than great view (e.g. there’s no such thing as a “garden view” or “partial sea view” etc. Every unit faces the ocean!) If you’ve rented a car, you can easily drive from Marbella to Santo Domingo for shopping, sightseeing, tours etc. Staying at Marbella give you many options. We’ve rented from Carlos and Karina (Marbella Vacation Rentals) in the past. Since each unit is individually owned, if you need more than one unit as we do, I prefer to work with someone who can coordinate more than one unit so I have one point of contact. They seem to manage the largest selection of units at Marbella so I never have to worry about getting the type of unit I need for the dates I need it. Also, I don’t speak Spanish so really need someone who is fully fluent in English but is local in case we need something. Again, I can’t say how fantastic a time we had at Marbella in the two units we rented. The complex is awesome, the units were modern and sparkling clean and the Karina and Carlos took care of all the needs on the ground so we just had to show up and enjoy! Time to say “goodbye" to COVID!
